  • Es YOU HATE PUTA

  • who else say the random thing a 3:20 in lower left?

  • Die Übersetzung ist Müll

  • hmmm i think part of its awesomeness was i couldent understand what they were saying :/ just sounded like crazy germans and metal before

  • 3:40

Cool guys dont look at explosions

  • @natedoggcata I ALWAYS think of that when I watch this! lol.

  • till's voice is better in German

  • till's voice is better in german

  • du hasst mich is you hate me du hast mich is you got me

  • this is shait

  • terrible...period. can we please stick with the original

  • you who wonder why they say "hate" instead of "have" obviously dont get the message.

  • the lyrics are different ! thats the reason why till sings in english: you hate me and in german: du hast mich. man soll einfach gut zuhören :P

  • ok so if it is you hate du hasst which you can hear it in the germen version why did they say du hast as the title

  • @kratosbelmont

I guess that when the lyrics have been written, it wasn't supposed to be obvious. He wanted to play with the sound, officially saying du hast (you have) but meaning du hasst (you hate). That's how I see it.

But in english, the words sounds different so he can't really play with the sounds...

Anyway, I hope it helped... somehow

  • "Does this song ever get old?"

    "NEIN!"

  • i think they didn't want to make it better in english, but they could, i am sure.

  • and if it is have why the hell didnt they sing have huh why the hell did the sing hate cuz this version is on their fuckin album

  • @bloodyjason33 The reason for them singing hate instead of have is the fact that the majority of us in america love violence.

  • @duttin85 yea cuz that makes sense

  • @duttin85 actually because if you were to sing it word for word in german, it wouldn't make sense, du hast means you have, du hast mich gefragt means you have asked me und ich hab nicht gesagt means and I have said nothing, german grammar is way backwards from ours

  • @duttin85 Wow, ur dumb, maybe white folks, but not my family, in the US, our culture comes from all over the world because people emmigrate here. and they only get into wars if a friend country is under attack, or themselves, like the 9/11 attacks, which started thiswhole modern warfare

  • Du hast hat eine doppelte Bedeutung Sie hassen, und Sie haben welche Hass ist und eine basiert auf Hochzeit Gelübde

  • Comment removed

  • Ahahah its YOU HATE bitches! :P

  • learn german du haSSt=you hate / du haSt=you have

  • @DepudeeAC they say it could be a double meaning although you are correct the lyrics say Du Hast which is you have, but if you look further into the lyrics you hate might be able to apply a lil better, who cares anyway this song is sick lol

  • IT IS YOU HATE, NOT YOU HAVE

  • @trajicguitarist

it's both, it's a play on words, because the German word for hate is alot like have

  • 1. this english version has another text (meaning) than the german text.

"du hast" means "you have" and "du hasst" means "you hate". so you could interpret the german text twice, until: "du hast mich gefragt". that means "you have asked me".

so "du hast mich gefragt und ich hab' nichts gesagt"

means "you have asked me and i did not replied"

    2. german version is the only one for me and it sounds much better ;)

  • 2:16 isnt english lol :P

  • U have me-.- not h8

  • @Fathienbladealex Wrong, the english version has another meaning than the german text.

  • ITS YOU HAVE ME :(

  • its not "you hate me, to say and i did not obey" its you asked me,i said nothing"

  • wrong words!!!!!!!

  • Even so; hearing the song in English is kinda nice, even just for the novelty factor.

I think its cool they'd go and translate it though. Or, re-do the song in English. Kinda an awesome twist, huh.

  • the original translation is better too. ugh.

  • METAL FOREVER

  • @acdc2302

    Hellz yeah!

  • Okay. First of all the real translation is 'You have'. The reason this song says 'You hate' is because Rammstein thought it would be funny to confuse people. they made the english version with different lyrics so loads of people would think it was 'You hate' They admitted themselves they did it because they thought it would be funny. so the real translation is 'You have'. End of story (:

  • @155Casper Not really. "du hasst" is "you hate" and "du hast" is "you have". Like u can see in German they're playing with words. Hasst-hast sound alike. In Eng this game with words it's impossible. BUT "du hast mich gefragt" means "you asked me". This "haben" is simply German grammar rule in one of their past tenses. When we're using this tense we must add "haben" or "sein" in proper person and then add proper verb (strong or weak) and from "fragen" ("to ask") we have "gefragt"-"asked".

  • I'm a huge fan of Rammstein but I noticed all of the translated songs that they singin

english sound kind of corny or don't make sense at all.The following songs by Rammstein were sung only in english Stripped and Pussy I along with many fans like the German lyrics because it gets the blood flowing.

  • who is the one with blonde long hair? i know them now but that is like 10 years ago

  • @b3stgl1tch3r It's Flake

  • DEFINITIVAMENTE SUENA MEJOR EN ALEMAN

  • heil rammstein!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just like with engel, they dont sound right in english

  • The twice meaning got lost in english.

  • Not "You have" You HATE

  • @kukry02 "Du ha(st,sst)"=You have; or you hate.

  • @kukry02

this is play with word. In german version is du hast - is similar to du hasst. In english is you have is similar to you hate.

  • you all stupid this isnt even till singing plus du hast means you have and you hate in german is du hasst so end of story!

  • People...it IS you hate me...cause the title is a bit of a underlined thing. hast means have indeed but hasst means hate. They left out the one S on purpose. Listen to the lyrics and the word have would make no sense at all

  • I love this song <3

    It's awesome :)

  • you have me not you hate me

  • wow did not know it meant hate. well anyway its fun learning all languages. this video reminds me or a relationship i have gone through so....crazy :}

  • it isn have its hate!!

  • come on guys there is no need to say it sounds better in German we all know the most of the time when a song a movie animes and others are dub the sound whack . is the price we have to pay to understand what they are saying sometimes is better to just don't know what they are saying ans just enjoy the good music .

  • they did it and thats what it says dumbasses its you hate me not you have me morons

  • luv them~

  • erm...did Rammstein actually redo the song or did some lowlife change such a good song? The lyrics in the German version are to be translated as "You have me" not "You hate me"

  • soooooooooooo stupid

  • Normally i like english language, but rammstein- lyrics are much better in german.

  • @xXFallenHazeXx

Thats the beauty of the song, its meant to be ambiguous (You hate/you have).

It is called Du hast (in writing), but thats just for the sake of writing it (see @Schpeets comment).

The translation to english does not serve it right imo, due to the fact that there is no english word that could cover those both.

  • he says "you hate" but the video title says "you have"

  • @xXFallenHazeXx everyone knows that

  • @LesnarNextBigThingF5

    I didn't.... 0.o

    Don't bash me !!

  • At the end: "Cool guys don't look at explosions!"

  • All German songs sound awesome. If I could speak German, that would make them better.

  • like it

  • i love the german version. German language practically is heavy metal, you could be saying would you like a piece of cheese cake?, and it would still sound angry (Möchten Sie ein Stück Käse Kuchen?). Despite the pure awesomeness of german, i prefer the english.

  • German version sounds is so much better than english... ;)

    I comes from Germany :D

    Rammstein is the best !

  • Crazy Germans screwing with peoples heads by translating their own songs incorrectly.

  • @Bloodangel256 its not there fault that the german language can mean many things

  • you say soulja boy- i say Pantera

you say rihanna - i say metallica

you say lil wayne - i say three days grace

you say lady gaga - i say bullet for my valentine

you say emenem - i say iron maiden

you say hanna montana - i scream heavy metal

92% of teenagers have turned to hip-hop and pop, if ur part of the 8%, copy this message and past it to an other video. DONT LET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK DIE!!!!

  • @mattfdr19, i will carry this message with great honour and glory.

  • when the guitar starts at 0:18 makes me wanna fight

  • @Malcham7 fight scene music...right there.

  • @ashkiller713 learn german fuck-tard. hast means have hasst means hate

  • @gimppimp2001 hast means have...

lived in germany for 4 years + my dad is german

  • I love Rammstein, but I personally like the German version better... I don't think that it sounds as good in English as it does when it is in German. There isn't the intentional confusion when they sing the chorus... It's very hard 2 put the double meaning in there.

  • This song sounds as cool in english as it does in German.

Don't get me wrong though, I love that they speak German, adds a kick to their songs.

  • Hasst isn't easier to say than Hast in terms of writing the song.

The purpose of the confusion is MEANT TO BE, they're making a play on the words sounding the same.

Obviously, you can't do that in English.

  • dumb ass it mean hate

  • @ashkiller713 you're a dumbass. DU HAST DOES NOT MEAN YOU HATE, even if Rammstein made a version of the song with these words.

Many of Rammstein's official translations are incorrect. This is because they were not fully translations, but rather English versions made to sound good in English while not retaining the original meaning.

  • 'du hast' is 'you have'

'du haßt' or 'du hasst' is 'you hate' (ss and ß are the same thing in german)

  • hast means hate

  • The whole reason he says hate is to confuse us, and to make it fit better with the song. "You hate me to say" fits a lot better than "you have asked me" to the flow of the song.

  • isn't "you hate" in german spelt "du hasst" coz the album spells it "du hast" which is you have

  • I don't know why it is "Du Hast" but these are the really lyrics and this is really rammstein singing this version. It is you hate.

  • i was gessing that they was her family and he cheated on her but at the end they kill her W T F??

  • being german you got close, the google translate wont always work because i wont recognize any accents

  • its stupid cuz "du hast" in english its "you have or you've" but here he sings "you hate" its stupid

  • this song is much better in German.....the translation is different :-/

  • sounds so much better in german... that makes the song awesome

  • So true XD

  • no disrespect to this video.. but the german version sounds better =]

  • @AkatsuKiM9 Why would it be disrespectful? In German is how it is meant to be played :)
