The Mercedes 4 Matic is not just a simple 4WD system like those found on "any AWD". Its a mind boggling system that actually adjust power to EACH INDIVIDUAL WHEEL. No doubt "any AWD" could have made it, but this is not just about "simply making it". Its about "how you make it". The Merc kept a straight line. Thank you.

@temuduga 4Matic along with Quattro and Subaru's symmetrical 4WD are the only real and dependable 4 wheel drive systems because they a re mechanical and permanent. By contrast, x-drive, 4Motion or various other crappy surrogates are maybe cheaper but don't come close.
