That stuff generally comes after, once the adrenaline rush is over and you're trying to keep from breaking down. You joke to cope after the fact.
What you don't do is laugh as you watch people have their heads cut off. That is completely unnatural and disgusting. Watching these coozes react this way confirms our society is over.

I was in Iraq when Nick Berg was killed. The insurgents covered their faces to make it more difficult for U.S. Forces to identify them. Unfortunately for them, they were identified anyway, and have been dealt with. Zarkawi was the one actually killing Nick. These girls definitely should have been watching the video, and I do not think they have a full grasp of the incident, but at the same time their reaction is not all that surprising.
