What do u mean from an exterior standpoint? They both have no similarities whatsoever in design. Yes the Infiniti I 35 and the 02 max is very identical but the isn't a replacement of the Infiniti I class. I don't know if u remember but the m class coexisted with the I class.

This is a nice car but should never and can never be compared to the Infiniti m class. The m is much more engineered and should be compared to the mercedes e class, BMW 5 series, jaguar xf, and Lexus gs. The maxima is in the same class as the Toyota Avalon, Acura tl, and Lexus es.

Nice car but Infiniti is far superior. You really can't compare a front wheel drive to rear wheel drive and I guess you don't understand that Infiniti is the luxury car division for Nissan as Lexus is for Toyota.

Its a well equipped car for the money, but you fail to realize the Maxima is not the "down scale" version of the G37 sedan, the Maxima is more on par with Infiniti M37 sedan in terms of space. The G37 is considered a compact sedan in this market although its does feel like a Mid-sized sedan compared to it rivals like the BMW 3 series, Lexus IS or Mercedes C-class. The Nissan Maxima is the more affordable alternative to the Infiniti M-class, it priced like a G-sedan but its compared to an M-sedan

you forgot to mention sport mode .. if you move the gear shifter to manual mode but dont shift it its in sport mode and on the dashboard when it shows what gear you are in it will say Ds for drive sport i love driving my in that mode

When people say the maxima is comparable to the M it isnt a class thing its more on their size. Its like u can say the G and altima are alike but in size comparison cause even the G still has less interior space than that of the maxima. While the M is a more upscale Maxima cause they somewhat share their size. Its not ease going from a Maxima to G I felt so squashed up in my friends G since I'm a Maxima owner but they do out beat us in performance but I like my interior space.

Since it has a CVT you can't feel any of the shifts because it has no gears to switch into. It's basically a torque converter.

wait, Tampa or Brandon? Both of our vehicles we have are Nissan's but I'm getting rid of the beat up minivan. You can drive the hell out of a nissan and it will last for almost 200k miles. I heard one dealer say that they all come with a 120k mile warranty. That's good coz it's hard to fix a CVT. My friend also has a 350Z and ppl are rude to her on the road when she's drivin it.

@URmower the infiniti M class is pretty much the equivalent to the maxima, or should i say visa versa. But they equal out. The G class and altima are equal to eachother as well.

@Ness7386 I have a 2010 Nissan Maxima S with the leather option as well and converted it to the SV model by adding the technology package if your interested in doing it you will need to purchase a SV body harness w/tech pkg from Nissan and check around local junkyards for the complete system. I got my system off of ebay the total cost was 1800.00
