if you would put the blade all the way down,and spin the tracks backwards,they will dig down,and it will tilt the back end down some,and the tracks will also push dirt forward under the tracks,then lift the blade and pull out forward

italianjob1100 he isnt really a dozer operator he is a Heavy Equipment mechanic. he was gettin the licensing class on this particular dozer at the time so best way to learn i say is to do it and he learned that day what not to do lol

Well, you have a winch of sorts in the track, chain grab hook clipped to a track pad and tied to an anchor. Or, an excellent opportunity to use the drag under trick, log or pole wider than the tracks chained to the tracks and dragged under the machine. FM 4-30.31/ 5-10 I've tried this with my dozer for experimenting but never in a mired situation.

jonesdiesel the guy in the operators seat yes his first time in the new joystick operated system he is used to the old Cat D7 levers and pedals. and to fastst1 the winch had not been mounted to the dozer yet so no tree usage.

@Ketch1341 he means to hook a chain to the track and strap the other end to the tree move the track so that it pulls the chain to the front of the dozer so that the dozer will move backwards from that this is also known as the old school winch
