Danny Elfman is a master of sound. He reminds me of Leroy Anderson, another composer who knew how to use every instrument to great effect. In this case, he used voices - and yes, I got misty-eyed too, the first time I heard this.

He may not have as many pieces to his credit (yet), but I think he is nearly as fine a film composer as John Williams, in terms of quality.
