SSBB Sonic Electroplankton stage glitch (Part 1)

guess what this happened to me when i was facing porky in boss battles mode and i thought " NO NO NO STOP!" and apparently i was lucky cause he stopped as soon as he went offscreen and i was safe.

no, no, the leaf acted sort of like a catapult

it raised the leaf, which raised the...ground, which confused the game into thinking it was a solid floor. So technicly, it WAS a glitch

I've gotten this glitch on stage builder. you need a horizantol platform. face the way that is pointing up,go to the other edge though, than press B sideways. you'll be going completely straight.

It also proves why it had to be delayed. Plus CPU Luigis (even lvl 9) always spammed fireballs at you after his final smash. This glitch was fixed with the PAL versions.

lol I did this in pokemon stadium by waiting 'till the ground stage then at the very tip of that one rock slope I used side-B and I slid through the air. :D awesome I didn't know there were any other ways to do it.

this happens when you have a ramp in stage builder. if sonic is side-specialing down the ramp, the goes forward. :)

you dont have to do it on this stage...

just have another stage with a diagnol platform and use the spin dash. it caan also work in the temple stage.

this also happens in stage editor. one of the slanted platforms produced the same effect. sonic rolls up the ramp and then goes completely sideways until he hits something, goes off screen, or you cancel it

you can also do this on the old metroid stage from melee when you break that little weird thing an th platform goes up and turns in a diagnal direction then use spindash on top of it, i also notices one time when i did it on that level and something happened and i teleported to the other side of the stage.

Yes, this is in fact a glitch, for those who don't think so, try it yourself.

You can save yourself by doing a double jump. It's hard to pull off though.

Whoa whoa whoa... That sounds A LOT like a glitch I found. I'm not sure WHY, but at random times whenI pull off a spindash over a ledge, Sonic won't fall. He'll move straight across the air, straight line. Off the screen. I don't know how to stop it either XD

i know how to do that in hyrule i will list the steps

1.go in between those 2 small flights of steps

2.use your fully charged side-b

(make sure he dosent just not even a bit)

3. watch sonic fly

(hit almost any button to cancel it)

Are you sure it's a glitch? This seems identical to what happens when Jigglypuff's spin attack goes off the edge. As you said, it's a ground-based attack -- why would you be able to steer it in the air?

Its a glitch. You're supposed to roll off the edge and fall down if you use this attack off of a normal edge. Instead, you FLY through the air completely horizontally.

Look at my other video (part 2) for a demonstration on how the attack SHOULD look, as well as another glitch that works in conjunction with this one.

i dont get it. how is that a glitch? sonic flew through the air because he didnt stop at the end of the leaf.

The attack is supposed to work like this: You charge the attack, when you let go, Sonic does a short hop through the air, lands on the ground, and begins spin-dashing. Its a ground-based attack, and you should be able to steer it.

In this glitch, Sonic does not hop, and spins through the air as if he were on the ground, only you can't steer. Its a very odd glitch that works completely different than how the move is supposed to.
