I enjoyed the video for the most part, Interesting video, however, a bit too long. I don't like to criticize but I think it would have been better to show a little more of the set and drop the beginning slides and music. The introduction seems unrelated. Also add some subtitles for the speakers, some viewers do not know their names.
Thank you so much for posting this! I love the show and simply couldn't be there since I live halfway across the country, but I really felt like you brought us there. Thanks. :)
Strange! Some people think the music is groovy. The shitty music is by Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton, a couple of the best guitarists around. Maybe you should shorten your longdong!
The Fox Ranch (this location) is also the locations used by the Duke's Of Hazard & F Troop - in 1977 the F Troop "Fort" still stood-Parts of the original Planet of the Apes was filmed here as well ---Buster Keaton & Fatty Arbuckles Filmed on these grounds way back when-
im 19 yrs old started watching mash when i was 6 and havnt stopped watching it since..every day every episode..on HALLMARK! god bless who ever made the internet! and make this person into a god who ever had the idea of MASH!! :)
i was laughing when he said how "bumpy and rough" the road is.
I'm eighteen years old, so i obviously wasn't alive when MASH was actually on-air, but it's put on Hallmark almost everyday, and that's how I fell in love with it.
Kudos for posting this. I'm a life-long M*A*S*H fan. The whole cast is like a family to me when I watch the show and no matter how many times I see the end of the series TV movie I always cry. Can't help it. Had the pleasure of meeting Mike Farrell last year at the Virginia Festival of the Book and Alan Alda was lurking in the audience heckling Mike with cheesy questions . The show is along with All in the Family my favorites of all time!!!
thank u snrhiker thank u 4 million times over i wish i would have know about the celebration. im a little scared of flying but i would have taken 15 planes to get there. mash fills a big portion of my life and i am going to watch this 3 more times before i do any thing els thank u again and thank god for the internet
Mike Farrell is truly a nice guy. I left a message on his website and he actually took the time to e-mail a response back personally. I was thrilled. This show will always be my favorite of all time.
It's not really a bad hike. Not much uphill and much of it on a road. Takes about an hour and a quarter to get there, plus or minus. I make it OK, and I'm 83 years old.
That was Great to watch, it would have been nice to see more cast members there, but oh well. I wish that site was closer to where I live, so I could visit. Thanks for sharing!!
Sometimes we MASH fans can say some pretty dumb things, (stick obelisk scene) when it's meant well.
Real war really sucks.
I still enjoy watching MASH , when I can get some time with myself and hide out in the shops backroom after dark. Then I can laugh as loud as I want to my hearts content.
wierd, i was hiking down that Malibu Canyon path around that exact date (Feb 23 '08) scouting locations for one of my films, wish i knew this was happening, I'm a huge Mash-fanatic. God i wonder if it was indeed that exact date, for some reason i didn't walk the entire length of the path, blast!
We had a little virtual celebration here in Germany on the German MASH Forum on that day.
There are many fans all over the world who would have loved to be there. We couldn't. But you posted this for us, so we can get a glimbse of what it would have been like to be there. Thank you for that.

would have been better if you took a video camera and filmed this instead of showing shots of it. Nice music. Who's it by?
Chynaash 1 month ago
@Chynaash I believe the music is by Carlos Santana

Did the MASH actors fall out with Alda or something? I've heard a few of them make some odd but ambiguous remarks about him in interviews.

@imtheduke Don't know about relationships with Alan Alda, although he wasn't there at the reunion
