I agree firearms should be more difficult to get, atleast an evaluation of some sort. At least illegalize automatic weapons. Having A pistol I can understand. But what is it with people having fully automatic weapons? Is there a use for them other than killing people?

There are men in Africa raping toddlers to cure themselves of AIDS and beheading children and burying the remains under houses to gain wealth because witch doctors told them to. While the individual may be well intentioned, outside influences can get us to do things we would never do otherwise. Are you so sure certain individuals in this Godless society would not take advantage of this, and the majority of society would not fall prey. Think Jonestown, Communism, Milgram.

@nycolea13 - You're using an example of uneducated, third world people who believe what witch doctors tell them, the same people that believe condoms SPREAD aids due to the church. We live in a society where you know raping babies in wrong, religious or none religious. Take God out of the equasion and that wouldn't start happening here. Or at least the none religious wouldn't since we are already in that frame of mind. Morals and ethics come from the society you live in, not from a holy book.

He lost a son, as his son committed a horrible crime. I can't imagine everything he's thinking, especially as he learns more about what his son said and did. He's probably reeling emotionally; from the shock of loss, from the shock of what he learned, from the shock that his son could do something like this.
