That doesn't mean the Pokemon should still be using cries built with a game boy sound card in mind. Seriously, if keeping the games separate from the anime was truly the reason they haven't changed the cries (ignoring the fact that Pokemon Yellow even exists), they should have remade the cries some time ago.
This game is really fun: it's not technically a game, so much as it's an expansion to your DS game. The biggest sellpoint for this game for me is the ability to fight random people: something the DS game lacked.
i think people have forgotten the main idea of the console games.The handheld games are for the story and the main part of the series. While the console games are for battleing in 3d.That was the whole inivation of the first game. If you have alot of friends with pokemon games and you like to battle, buy this. but if you want to stick with just completing the story and training your pokemon, buy the main games

Why is this guy complaining about no story? I loved Stadium and this game reminds me very much of Pokmon Stadium. Completing Gym like challenges and stuff. Just no mini-games. And the Wi-Fi isn't that bad, most of the time I can find an opponent. But heck, I get connection errors on the DS too so it's not just PBR.
To be totally honest, the online for this game is pretty good as it gives any trainer a chance to put there hard training to the test, plus what ign failed to mention is the extra content such as downloadable pokemon and a huge range of items to assist you in DPPt, HSSS and possibly BW. So a better way to summarise this game works along with the ds games inorder to get you where you want whether to get new pokemon or score some new items.

nd well since u dont have a ds pokemon game, i dont recomend u buying this game cuz you wont be able to do 90% of the things this game has to offer. but if u do buy it you can only use rental pokemon, and yeah so dont buy it, but if u do get a ds then buy it :D

Visually amazing? Sure the attacks may look pretty, but half the pokemon models haven't been updated since collosium, and even back then they looked like crap!

Personally if you have a solid team on your DS, then your experience on Battle Revolution will be far better. To be good at this game, or rather stand up against the competition, you are still required to build up your team on DS Pokemon games, I feel that this was a very poor review, the reviewer didn't even go over all that is available in this game (alot more than mentioned)
If you have a Wii and at least one DS Pokemon game which you adore, I suggest looking into this game.

IGN yet again fails to comprehend anything. This game is meant to be a platform for 3D battling, mostly from your DS Pokémon. Hence the name BATTLE REVOLUTIONS. I agree that $50 is too much though, but it should be a lot cheaper by now.

This game is basically for those of us who really enjoy the battle system of pokemon, and want to see our favorites up on the big screen. Of course it'll get low scores since it's not a well rounded game, it's really meant for people who like pokemon for the battling system, and nothing else really.
If you play DS wifi battles this game is definatly made for you, but if you just got this game thinking it would be like stadium then your dumb . This is mainly for wifi and its great wifi, especially if you record for youtube .
the graphics are good but dude the game was made to BATTLE (POKEMON BATTLE REVOLUTION) so theres no need for other mini games although i do agree you should be able to get some kind of ranking i would give it a 8 or 7.5 since the pokemon still dont say their name and the annoncer repeates alot
I actually enjoyed this game. I got it for $35 at Circuit City back in 2007 (Irony is that it was the FIRST day that it came out, and then a week later, it's $50). It was $40, then I used the Gamer's Club Card and knocked about 4 dollars off and bam... Saved $15.. But anways, I wish there was some stat tracking and all that good stuff.. Do you know how many teams of UBERS I took out with my Water Pokemon team? Man, if only I could have recorded them.. My fav. part is customizing the trainer..

@UBERMASHBRO You're forgetting Pokemon Colosseum, the game that Pokemon Gale of Darkness took place after. Colosseum had a storyline and a darned good one if you ask me. I got Revolution for Christmas a few years ago and it's alright as far as battling. But, I'm not that impressed with it and I certainly wish there had been a story mode, as you were saying. That's all I have to say on the matter.

@FreeZe6422 well, first of all yeah of course they are gonna make another pokemon game, since pokemon black and white are coming out they have to make one to battle your 5th gen pokemon.
nd well since u dont have a ds pokemon game, i dont recomend u buying this game cuz you wont be able to do 90% of the things this game has to offer. but if u do buy it you can only use rental pokemon, and yeah so dont buy it, but if u do get a ds then buy it :D

Listen i know a lot of people are telling me that this game is technically pokemon stadium 3, but listen this is not pokemon stadium 3 according to this guy and apparently most other of you guys. the 2 original pokemon stadiums were great games the had bright colorful crisp graphics for the time, great controls, and they were fun. Personally if you have a solid team on your DS, then your experience on Battle Revolution will be far better. To be good at this game, or rather stand up against the competition, you are still required to build up your team on DS Pokemon games, I feel that this was a very poor review, the reviewer didn't even go over all that is available in this game (alot more than mentioned)
If you have a Wii and at least one DS Pokemon game which you adore, I suggest looking into this game.

IGN yet again fails to comprehend anything. This game is meant to be a platform for 3D battling, mostly from your DS Pokémon. Hence the name BATTLE REVOLUTIONS. I agree that $50 is too much though, but it should be a lot cheaper by now.

This game is basically for those of us who really enjoy the battle system of pokemon, and want to see our favorites up on the big screen. Of course it'll get low scores since it's not a well rounded game, it's really meant for people who like pokemon for the battling system, and nothing else really.

I actually enjoyed this game. I got it for $35 at Circuit City back in 2007 (Irony is that it was the FIRST day that it came out, and then a week later, it's $50). It was $40, then I used the Gamer's Club Card and knocked about 4 dollars off and bam... Saved $15.. But anways, I wish there was some stat tracking and all that good stuff.. Do you know how many teams of UBERS I took out with my Water Pokemon team? Man, if only I could have recorded them.. My fav. part is customizing the trainer..

Thing i hate about most pokemon games is theres no real story line unless u play a handheld version of it (hand helds were beter in my opinion!) the only good ones were pokemon staium 1 and 2 and gale of darkness (sorta) stadium games atleast had mini games were u could realy serously have hrs of fun with your friends, gale of darkness had a story zomg finaly! however the fack that the pokemon u collect islimited bumed me out + no online play. there is 1more with story but ive never played itT_T

@UBERMASHBRO You're forgetting Pokemon Colosseum, the game that Pokemon Gale of Darkness took place after. Colosseum had a storyline and a darned good one if you ask me. I got Revolution for Christmas a few years ago and it's alright as far as battling. But, I'm not that impressed with it and I certainly wish there had been a story mode, as you were saying. That's all I have to say on the matter.
