@vandelannoitematthie Met de complete uitlaatlijn, bestaande uit de uitlaatcollectoren, middendemper, en einddemper, mag je toch rekenen op 20/25pk winst. ;-)
I love my E36 328i. Only mod is a Signature Motoring performance intake kit. They run around $170 and add up to 9HP in the E46 323/325/328 and up to 9.4HP in the 328i. That's about $17/per extra HP... A good value for the extra oomph. General HP increases are shown:
Beautiful sound! :) I have one of these in my target, a late 1991 version to be exact, but the car that I am buying comes with the original 15" rims. What rims do you have on this vid and how are they in terms of durability, quality and drivability? :)
@KAP2268 The original BMW BBS 17 inch 2piece cross-spoke alloys. Drives perfectly , verry strong wheels. ;-) However, good luck finding a good set. :-)

wow i didn,t know that these cars sounded this good .what do you guys think schould i sel my merc an buy an beemer .wil that be more expensive to drive?
Performance E36ers can start with a Signature Motoring performance intake kit. It can add up to 11HP for only about $150 and installs in 30-45 minutes - really a must for every E36 owner. It also makes the car HOWL at high end but sounds normal at everyday driving. See my videos!
Yeah sure, emissions haven't changed, just the sound got louder over the years. I have it for 9 years now...it was loud back then, and it got louder every year :-). The cats are still doing their work, and a wornout backbox does not affect emissions, so no problems there ;-). Just recently found out bmw had a "sportexhaust" option on the first e36's...it might explain the sound? Its louder than most 325i's I know, altough some get close. It's still the original back box from 1991 :-)
I finally got myself a 328i and cancelled out the Vanos so it stays open all the time, but my 328 still dont sound anywhere as good or as viscious as your 325 exhaust! shame lol
Don't know if the 328i has the same x-pipe before the kat?? This makes for the raspy sound :-) and basically, the older the exhaust gets, the louder it becomes, just keep welding the holes LOL. Would love 2 C the inside of my exhaust, i think it is completely burned out and practically empty :-) still love this sound after hearing it for almost 10 years now :-)
Einfach nur geil. Leider gibt es das heute nicht mehr.

e30 and e36 are my favourites.

The stock exhaust is the best for a bmw. For an old one. The ones nowadays don't have such an amazing sound :S

time to get a Remus!!
hellallnamesaretaken 2 years ago
Check my other vids ;-) i had a Remus (MK-Motorsport uses Remus exhausts) and didn't like the sound :-( so I put the stock exhaust back.
beemer325 2 years ago
have you still got the remus? do you want to sell it?
hellallnamesaretaken 2 years ago
It's already sold. ;-)
If I ever get another exhaust for this car, it will be Eisenmann or Bastuck.
Remus gives a verry deep sound, and I prefer sharp and loud, racy sounds. :-)

Nice ! i love this sound i have my e36 2.5i
also with stock exhaust and the sound is amazing ;] thought about changing the backbox but stock sound is the best in my opinion 1991.
NorthernShiver 3 years ago
I had a different backbox some time ago, but after 6 months, I put back the original stock exhaust, i missed the sound :-)gotta love it :-p
beemer325 3 years ago
nice, but a little too raspy, yeah the older 325 had a louder exhaust they usually tend to get louder, get a new exhuast for a rough crisp sound ;)
andz619 3 years ago
the rasp is just the thing I love about this exhaust ;-) I had a new one for six month, and hated the sound...thank God I still had the old one :-)
beemer325 3 years ago
i agree with you! i have a 96 325 with the old stock exhaust. that raspy sound...got to love it...they don´t just get louder, they get better!!!

cool vid ! very nice sound ! i have the 323 E36.
megatherium1977 3 years ago
The X-Pipe before the cat really does make a difference. I love the sound of my E36. Honestly the best stock exhaust IMO.
When I go FI, I'll be straight-piping it, but will still be using a X-Pipe after the mani.
hampnich 3 years ago
does it still pass emissions tests with the exhaust hollowed out that much?
