It's a slaughterhouse, eat animal or be eaten by animal or starve.
The most humane thing for us humans to do is to stop bringing more human death and suffering into the world. Knowing what we atheists know about life, It's child abuse to do so!
No birth no death or suffering, no short term pleasure or short term happiness, guaranteed suffering. What you don't know you don't miss so to escape being born in perfect bliss.
Please be merciful! Have pity! have yourselves castrated.

I'm reading your argument with personsEks and I must ask about your faith. Did you 'find god' or were you brought up as a christian? I'm sorry if this is a personal question, I am just interested.

@Fantasticlist You have to keep in mind that he's speaking to a group of atheists/non-believers. Which means he's basically preaching to the choir when he presented his "no answer" video. He's not out to prove a point, he's simply sharing a laugh with a group of like-minded individuals who already know what his answer would have been and why the edited video was a laughable attempt at making him look foolish.
@SeedsOfHatred His answer obviously. But actually I already know you have theories. You always do. When evolution dont know the answer, it creates a theory to everybody accept. Everybody does and you all believe in those theories about how could information increase in nature.
@Fantasticlist Well actually, it's not a theory. It is observable. He goes into detail about genes and their development in his book "The Greatest Show On Earth"; and he does so in a much more sophistocated way than I could here.
So, if you want HIS answer, I recommend you take a look at the book. But perhaps that's an overly-optimistic proposition on my part.
@SeedsOfHatred Sure, probably you dont even understand what he explains there, but as he is the atheist prophet you all accept that even if not understanding lol Id like at least a simple answer but sure I have to buy one of the books of the atheist bible...
@Fantasticlist Listen kiddo; I'm not an atheist - firstly - I'm an agnostic. Secondly, an intellectual individual doesn't blindly follow what others say; especially not if they don't understand it. People who do that generally follow a major religion. You wanted your answer, I told you where to find it. What you do with that information is your choice entirely. But know that there is no simple answer. Genetics are not simple. If you want it, however, you now know where to find it.
@SeedsOfHatred The answers he gives are all hypotesis or suppositions, not observable facts. Thats where I wanted to get. Follow a religion without understand is also deplorable and sad, fortunately thats not my case either.
@Fantasticlist No, actually, they are observable facts. You cannot assume things about it without bothering to look into it in the first place. That's just idiotic.
I say again, you now know where to find the answers you're asking for. You may choose to look into the matter to find them, or you may choose to not look into it and just assume - blindly - that you already know what he explains and that it's false. The choice is yours, but surely you can see how one is more idiotic than the other.
@SeedsOfHatred I already know what he says and which are fallible hypothesis. You should also read some intelligent design with its arguments and take a global conclusion of everything. Then you would know about both sides and not assume, blindly, that you already know that ID arguments are false.
@Fantasticlist If you haven't read the book, then no, you have no idea what he says. What he presents - I'll say again - are facts. Not theories; not hypothesis. Observable, testable, REtestable facts.
Additionally, I was Christian for the first 20 years of my life. I've heard the arguments for ID again and again. I've even argued in their favor on many occasions.
Then I realized the true dynamics of science and realized how false the ID claim really is. So don't assume that I don't know your
@Fantasticlist (cont.) side of the argument, because I do. All too well. It used to be MY side as well.
However, testable and observable science has proven it to be false time and time again. That is why I adhere to the argument that stands up to scrutiny.
@SeedsOfHatred You know you are lying man lol You were not a christian. You may had be a religious boy, but not a christian. A Christian wont find anything more clarifying than God. So, if you did you were not and you have to accept that you only knew religion, not the true loving God :)
@Fantasticlist Firstly, I have no reason to lie. I was in fact a Christian.
Secondly, it's so very arrogant of you (and every other Christian I speak to) to just assume that if someone had truely been a Christian, surely they'd still be one. After all, Christianity is just that great, huh?
Wake up, kiddo. Some people grow up. Others don't. We've all got to let go of Santa Clause at some point.
@SeedsOfHatred Dont need to be offended. If you quit being a christian, how can you tell me you were a truly christian? Even more to another christian. Thats simply logics, think. Do you want to talk about arrogance and prepotency? Because if you want, you all evos/atheists win. You are all the time calling ignorants and oh how you said "Some people grow up. Others don't. We've all got to let go of Santa Clause at some point." Yes thats arrogance and prepotency. And a BIG lack of what God is.
@Fantasticlist That's like saying "If you quit eating meat, how can you tell me that you ever really liked meat?" Of course I was a Christian. I adhered to my irrationality as though my eternal life depended on it. Because, of course, I thought that it did.
But as I said, we've all got to wake up sometime. I began learning more about how the world actually works and as an uncontrollable result, my faith faded away. It doesn't mean I am lying about being Christian. It simply means I woke up.
@SeedsOfHatred No, you got asleep lol You couldnt ever be a christian, sorry about that. If you dont accept this ok because I cant accept your argument too. If you tell me you couldnt find any faith enough or evidence for youself, thats ok. But telling me you were a christian doesnt fit. And actually the meat example is bad because quit on meat doesnt make meat to disappear, in the other hand, by quit on God you accepted His absence even if you cant prove that its impossible that He exists.
@Fantasticlist Well interestingly, I never claimed that God didn't exist. That's an assumption you made entirely on your own.
In any case, I was a Christian, but in your arrogance ("if you were really Christian, you'd never turn away because we're just that awesome") you will assume I wasn't. That is your right; to assume that you know my position better than I did. You know, because you lived it and I didn't.
@Fantasticlist Additionally, in regard to your "meat' comment; my quitting Christianity doesn't mean Christianity dissapeared either. It simply means I don't invest anything in it anymore. As I said, I never claimed that your God didn't exist.
@SeedsOfHatred Look. At first if you dont claimed God doesnt exist, why all this? Because it really looks like. Then you say you were a christian and you are no more, so if you believed Him you wouldnt quit Him. The example of meat was firstly gave for you and I never said "that we are that awesome". Im not trying anythin, though, just making you understand that when you say "I don't invest anything in it anymore." I hope u understand ure talking about religion and not God, and ty for that ;)
@Fantasticlist Why all this - what? This conversation? I'm not allowed to engage in stimulating debate with others?
And yes, I was in fact a Christian. In every way, shape and form. I went so far as to end a relationship with a woman I thought would hinder my faith; despite the immense love I had for her. I felt an obligation to take the side of my God in the end.
So, you are not in a position to be assuming what I was and was not. It is a foolish endeavor on your part. Perhaps even arrogant.
@SeedsOfHatred Why all your arguments and ideas if the central idea for you is that God doesnt exist. If you think that, ok for you. Why should I spend my time trying to make you believe in something that you know by yourself? Man no, you denial is with you.
You were a religious guy. If you really had feel the Spirit and the Love of God in your life, you couldnt say that. Call arrogance but thats what I think of you indeed. Deeply you know how your relation with God was ;)
@Fantasticlist My arguments and ideas were originally centered around evolution (scroll back up to the begining of our little debate). I never spoke against the possibility of a God. Why do you people always assume that if I reject creationism, I must also be rejecting God's existence altogether? There can be evolution with or without a god. And at this point in our scientific history, when evolution is observable fact, I might dare to say that God and evolution are now two seperate topics.
@Fantasticlist An agnostic is not someone who can't decide anything. An agnostic - in the true sense - is someone who accepts that the possibility of deities is beyond our current Human understanding. I'd never be so bold as to say that there is NO God, nor would I be so bold as to say that there IS a God. The reason being that nobody knows. Therefore, Agnosticism is a more logical position than most others.
When I realized that, I shed myself of Christianity.
@SeedsOfHatred Obviously thats the easy answer and the "meaning" of it. But since there is actually a way to be sure of Gods existence, that argument is flawed. So if no other conclusion from our discussion, we can end this. Just dont forget that you can be sure of Gods existence, if ure not is because u are only looking for something natural and not really wanting to find Him. Cheers ;)
@Fantasticlist Well with an incredibly bold claim such as "There is actually a way to be sure of God's existence", no rational individual could leave this argument as it is.
If you truely believe you have some sort of absolute proof of God's existence - one that trumps all of scientific, theistic, mathematical and philosophical history - I'd very much like to hear it. You may drop me a message if needed.
@SeedsOfHatred Do you still live in earth? Because if you do, you know there are billions of people believing that there is a God. Then, you have millions (actually 2billions) of christians believing that too. Even if a percentage is not sure, you have millions of people with the certain. So, how can you talk by the mouth of millions ? Thats actually funny even more after me telling you that its a personal relation. And you cant deny what I and all others know and are sure of.
@Fantasticlist That's not an argument. That in no way proves that Christianity - or theism in general, for that matter - is correct. Sheer popularity can change fiction into fact? I don't think so. You're going to have to fork over more concrete "proof" than that.
It's funny, though, I was talking about The Beatles with someone once. I belittled their talent and someone said "2 million people can't be wrong."
I responded with "Have you even HEARD of Christianity?"
@SeedsOfHatred Exactly, 2million people is enough to state that Beatles have talent right?
What I said, was that the evidence you claim is something supernatural that lives inside each one of us. Its a personal relation with God, lived by millions. All those millions are clear and with evidence enough. So thats all you need to know. There won't be a natural evidence for a supernatural God that loved us with pure faith. There is John 20:29.
@Fantasticlist There are also millions of people who believe voices in their heads speak to them.
Millions more once believed that the Earth was flat.
Hell, if story-book fantasy had been made into a religion instead of Jesus and God; millions of people would "live personal relations" with gnomes and fairies.
As I said, popularity is by no means a proof of your claim. There is no natural evidence because guess what?
@SeedsOfHatred Those arguments are bad. That idea of the world believing in a earth flat is wrong. Millions of people who hear voices? Wrong numbers (and you should look for the studies around it to understand it better I guess, may be madness or not). Youre trying to find denials in anything I may say man, thats not an intelligent attitude with no purpose at all. Dont mix things, religion and God are different. If u dont know about the relation, ignore it. Simple.
@Fantasticlist I've studied psychology for 5 years (give or take), I'm well aware of those who suffer from Schizophrenia. Regardless, my arguments are not "bad". Nor are they innacurate. They are exactly on par with what I'm talking about.
As does every Christian, however, you fail to see the parallels when I draw them. EVeryone says the same thing - "The flat-Earth belief is wrong", but no, Jesus; that's true stuff right there.
It's absolutely infuriating what you people fail to see.
@Fantasticlist And no, I can't simply "ignore it". Your "personal relationship" with your God causes you to cling to a long-outdated idea of the world, which you then teach to your children and they to their children. The irrationality is passed on from generation to generation and it continues to detriment the rest of us. Many of it's advocates go so far as to outwardly belittle those who believe in actual, observable reality - sometimes to the point of violence.
@SeedsOfHatred Jesus what? lol And deny something (the only thing that you guys know to do), dont disprove anything.
Well imagine you love apples. I come here and say "you dont like apples because you dont know what an apple is". But you actually ate many apples and you know what you like. Here youre trying to make me believe Im being irrational in a thing that is MY personal relation! WOW Irrational? A third of the world being irrational??!! The spiritual world is so easily accessible man.
@Fantasticlist To those who believe in Alah, he is "easily accessable". To those who once believed in Thor or Fenrir, they too were easily accessable. To Native American Indians, the "spirits of the Earth" are easily accessable (especially with the help of mind-altering drugs).
A third of the world is irrational, yes. It's sad but it's true. The fact that you people feel something WITHIN YOURSELF doesn't mean it's actually there.
@SeedsOfHatred Stop spamming please. Do one comment or send a message.
Thor, Native american gods, who believe them today? In the other hand, God is since always and until today with many people believing Him. You are being prepotent and arrogant, 1 third of the world is irrational? lol If werent christians you wouldnt have many things in your life. Sad is you being a result of a chance, a chunk of matter who falls in love with other chunks of matter and then you die.
@Fantasticlist Also, no; you accuse me of making bad analogies but your apple argument is a poor one. An apple can be seen; touched; tasted. It's nutritional effects on the body are well-documented and it's chemical makeup has been broken down and recorded - which is how we know of it's vitamin contents.
When it comes to God, people either have "the uttmost faith", or have "heard" the voice of Him...in times of extreme mental or physical duress.
@SeedsOfHatred God is supernatural did you know? You wont smell Him lol You need to find evidence in who have relation with Him, not in natural science.
Extreme mental or physical duress? You are being so ignorant, Im sorry man. You should say that to the millions of balanced Christians in the world. Where most of them are graduate people and civic examples in society ;)
@Fantasticlist "Balanced" now doesn't mean that they didn't have a severe mental or physical trauma at some point.
And thus far, the people who claim to "speak to God" or have heard Him speak to them have only done so when in such situations. Why? Because the brain does fucked up things when you've had a blow to the head; you've lost half of your blood-volume; or when you're absolutely overcome by emotion. And I wont even go into schizophrenia.
@SeedsOfHatred LMAO I know a lot of people who would kick you ass in balanced mind man ;)
If you have anything more intelligent to say than that we are all a big bunch of mental invalid, Ive nothing more to say. Just that you are ignorant about what you are trying to talk and that God is not felt by emotion. You cant talk about what you dont know, do some studies.
@Fantasticlist The fact that I don't agree with your faith does not mean I am "ignorant", my friend.
Quite the contrary; the main reason many people don't believe your fairy-tale is precisely BECAUSE they know the dynamics of it. They realize the theological side, and they realize the scientific side. They realize the true nature of Temporal Lobe hallucinations and their effect on a mind living in an overtly-religious society.
Trust me, I know plenty. And that is WHY I don't agree with you.
@SeedsOfHatred Why do I have to be repeating this all the time? Personal relation!
This is the same as if I was here telling you that you actually dont love your wife and that is your Temporal Lobe making you think you do!
With God is PERSONAL (!) Only after it you'll understand. Is LOVE. Is a filled life with purpose and not only be a chunk of matter who born and die, who has morality by chance and intelligence by other chance. If you dont want the relation, Bye, just stop ignorance.
@Fantasticlist Please take your delusions to a theists video, we are tired of hearing your nonsense. You have a personal relationship with a fictional character that was built on the solar myths that predate it by hundreds and even thousands of years. Your inability to distinguish between fantasy and reality is disquieting, so please keep your lunatic ravings were the are welcomed!(i.e. NOT an atheist video)
@personEks You are always putting your nose in creation and christian videos though. This shows im interested in know both sides of the coin ;)
And those claims of solar myths and etc are actually wrong, you should do search and not only listen to your atheist sources. History simply can answer all that.
Interestingly, I don't know if Richard dawkings does, most athiests believe there could exist intelligent life in other parts of the universe, life they have not seen.llife more advanced than our own. But that belief is based on a condition, as long as it didn't create us or is called God. Shows disbelief in God is not based on lack of evidence, but really such belief doesn't suit one's lifestyle.
Observation- what interests me is what makes a person tick, what are a persons motives, on the surface it looks like Richard dawkings cares, then he spoke about his book , even giving us a little rendition, money
And arrogence. Not a good combination
The man is not honest like most athiests
Their mind is closed, they don't want any God tellling how to live their lives
Since humans stepped out of the caves, we were constantly expanding our circle of love to include more people. We now reject genocide, racism, incest, etc; things that were common centuries ago. We are in a crucial point in our development. Becoming completely spiritual by rejecting all evil is the next step. Atheism rejects Jesus, which represents 100% love, as a role model, which is a step back for consciousness. The time has come to raise our consciousness to the next level, is now or never.
catholics believe in a god and ALL his tricks.(immaculate conception etc)
protestants believe in a god and one or two of his tricks(like virgin birth )
jews also believe in a god and a few tricks(like parting the red sea-but not virgin births)
muslims believe in a god who offers a pretty comfortable lifestyle in a hereafter if they fight the soldiers of satan(the first three groups!) Unbelievable, isn't it?
@SheIbyCobra Thats easy in my playlist further down you'll come across some evidence like i said hes a fraud also ducking dawkins will be known as a coward from now on like it or not.

Saying Stalin didn't kill in the name of atheism is just a play on words. Atheists are so keen on pointing out that atheism is not a positive affirmation, it's just a non-belief. Hitchens even said that the word "atheism" shouldn't even exist.
Now, you can't have it both ways... You can't make a point of saying "no crimes were commited IN THE NAME OF atheism". That is a non-sense. However, I challenge anyone to deny that Stalin did crimes in the name of some anti-christian principes.
@Gazdo01 Let's see: An infallible leader whose every word must be obeyed, a bright future promised in the distant future (promised only for the faithful), a bunch of devout followers, a clear sense of "if you're not with us you are against us", persecution of everybody who was perceived to be the latter, the firm belief that there was a Plan and that it was in a Book...Sounds pretty Christian to me.
@TomFynn You said it... sounds like. But these are not specific Christian principles, it so happens that SOME of them, in certain context, may apply to SOME Christians denominations.
Christianity isn't based on the persecution of everybody "else". As for "the Plan", maybe you're talking about eschatalogy, but then again, Christianity is not BASED on that. The "Book" isn't ALL there is neither.
Plus, the person of the pope musn't be blinded followed. He's not infaillible in that sense.
@Gazdo01 It isn't based on the persecution of everybody else? Inform your self on the persecution of pagans (i.e. everybody else) under Constantine when Christians came to power. Over the centuries the accusation "heretic" was a sure-fire death sentence. As late as 1967 Lloyd Geering was officially accused of heresy.
As for that Plan thing? God suddenly doesn't have a Plan for everybody? Everything isn't foreordained? There is not a paradise promised for the faithful? What happened?
@TomFynn "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us." (2 Cor 4.7)
Bad christians doesn't mean bad christianity.
" Over the centuries the accusation "heretic" was a sure-fire death sentence." That's complete non-sense. Stop bein influenced by false anti-catholic propaganda.
"As late as 1967" So what? Heresy means rejecting what the Church consideres to be Truth. You are a heretics, sorry.
@Gazdo01 Albigensians, Cathars, Spanish Inquisition, Giordano Bruno, John Wycliffe, Michael Servetus. Do I have to bring up the Crusades? The genocide of the Native Americans and general rape of indigenous cultures? Slavery? Rejecting what the Church considers the Truth does not lead to ruin anymore, since we've seen through the Bullshit.
I'm sorry, I don't give a fuck for ideal Christianity. I judge - as it is the only thing anyone can - by what is there, not by what you want to be there.
@TomFynn Can you tell me HOW MANY deaths ALL OF THESE generated?
You see the Inquisition as this demonic thing... but don't realise what it gave to the world: right to a lawyer, no judgment based on personnal accusation, etc... You don't realise that the Inquisition was supported by the people, it gave them a fair legal system.
Cathars were a dangerous sect who claimed that collective suicide was a solution.
@Gazdo01 The Inquisition was not a bad thing? Being tried *at all* for thought crime and even tortured and burned for it not a bad thing? And you have the gall to think that you are any different from Stalin? Sorry. No. That is *exactly* the mindset of Stalin.
As for the Cathatrs, they only resorted to suicide since they would rather die by their own hand than by that of the oh-so-Christian army at their gates.
@TomFynn I agree that the death penalty is not a good solution... but that was the way things were done. Don't blame christianity for it, blame human barbarism.
" I judge - as it is the only thing anyone can - by what is there, not by what you want to be there."
Listen to this 12 part series, then we can talk seriously:
@Gazdo01 I was stating explicitly "in the examples", thus encompassing *all* the examples I gave you. Not just the Inquisition. Please try to read what's there.
@TomFynn Well then how can you judge CHRISTIANITY if you don't give the slightnest damn about what it preaches?
Are you going to accuse christians of being polygamous, based on mormonism?
If you're going to depict the BIG PICTURE with some trivial examples, then there is no point talking to you. You're not engaging this discussion seriously.
@Gazdo01 I don't give a damn, since it is all magical thinking. It is all based on false premises. It is all based on blind obedience to unintelligible propositions. It all glories in the rejection of critical faculties.
And if you think the murder of millions in the examples I gave you are trivial, you are a truly evil person.
@Gazdo01 Sorry what? The crusades, the persecution of the heretic the genocides of the Natives was not done by Christians? It's all one big conspiracy? Hop over to Walmart. Tin foil hats are on offer.
You said the the examples and the death of millions they encompass are "trivial". To belittle the death and suffering of people in that way is truly evil.
@Gazdo01 Oh yes. Inform yourself on the Spanish Conquistadors who would have any right to come up with term "extermination through labor" and the murder of the Native American by the Christan Immigrants later known as Americans.
@Gazdo01 Christianity is responsible for quite a lot of evil in the world. And the mindset of it is exactly homologous to that of the Great Dictators of the recent past.
@TomFynn Like I said... when close to 100% of the Western World was christian... it's pretty easy to say that christianity if responsable for everything going wrong in the world.
What you are doing is creating a false causality between the two. That's a very dangerous path.
You obviouly chose to remain blind when exposed to all the GREAT things Catholicism brought to Western Civilisation.
@Gazdo01 So all the atrocities cited were done by Christians? And Christianity is therefore not responsible for them as to how? What kind of schizophrenia is that? And has anything changed about the basic propositions of Christianity ? No, its the same old magical thinking.
I'd rather like to image which Solar System we could be heading for now, if anyone who tried to think about the world in a rational and scientific way *wouldn't* have had to fear for his life.
@TomFynn If you really think that by elimination ALL SPIRITUALITY in the world you're going to solve all problems, all wars, all evil, then you are the one mistaken.
@Gazdo01 Nowhere did I suggest that. As Freud noted the religious impulse, born out of a fear of death will always be with us. But the world will be a better place when we stop giving any credence to bullshit propositions. Like those of religion.

@onesweetasuzy you chose to be a christian?? do you realise how dumb evil that sounds. unless you mean a made up version of christianity where you forget all the bad bits, which in this case just makes you seriously stupid. Did you believe in another make believe ghost or superhero before becoming a christian?
@onesweetasuzy Inform yourself on some science basics: The second law of thermodynamics states that the entropy of an isolated system only increases over time. The earth however is *not* an isolated system. It takes up energy from the sun. That is the engine that powers all biological processes up to and including evolution
I believe 3 centuries later... most human will believe in "alienism" .... that if he can communicate with alien,,, an alien will come and bring him to more advanced planet where one can live happier there
@onesweetasuzy Yawn, still the argument from design? In this day and age? Inform yourself a bit on modern day cosmology. I suggest Lawrence Krauss or Victor Stenger.
@onesweetasuzy Because you present your "good news" without any kind of evidence and still expect to be taken seriously. There is no reason to show any kind of respect for that.
@onesweetasuzy As the other comment appears to be serious. Still though we have another repeat of events. Even if this was the youtube comments it's still a way of communication, I wonder why you don't think about the things I said in the earlier comment. Is it something about youtube comments that prohibits ideas from reaching the brain? I suppose Crusades are your idea to "share the good news!" (I repeat my ideas in hopes of you understanding.)
@onesweetasuzy Really you couldn't link crusade to fear? For a christian you sure don't know your history. What ever it's alright if you're christian you're most likely an idiot any way. Let me take it a step further as Christianity has become wide spread more people are going to fear hell and torture for not believing. But you know a Crusade is obviously better than that. because you're doing it for God!
@onesweetasuzy It'll still be here because if you don't believe in it you're going to have another crusade on your hands! Simply put, inserting fear into people is nothing to be proud of.
from time to time we watch these atheist videos to remind ourselves that religion has nothing to worry about. Also, there is an element of interest in freaks...
Dawkin's is a disgrace to science - he has become nothing but and ignorant demagogue and ideologue. He has abused and corrupted his Simyoni "chair" whic is supposed to be for the "public understanding of SCIENCE" and turned it into the Throne of the Self-Appointed Pope of SCIENTISM. Scientism is not science; it is just an ideology like any other - and Dawkins its High-Priest.
@fromwilliams I dont think hes a disgrace I think he's overly bitter about religion. He thinks it kills science when he knows he has the freedom to go and be a scientist if he wished instead of being spending your time speaking against religion.
@opivy07 the problems is that you and fromwilliams think that talking about truth and reason is against religion. Why are you fairy tale believers even on here watching the video?
@MrKGatl I didn't say anything bad about Dawkins I just said he is bitter about religion and a lot of times he is. I actually agree with some of Dawkins points and have some respect for him because unlike many youtube atheist such as yourself, Dawkins has the gift to do something sooo incredible, that is he can talk to people and agree to disagree with them without insulting them. Its pretty amazing. Btw I watch this video cuz Im bored and these type of issues concern and interest me.
@opivy07 Yes, in hindsight I shouldn't belittle you for watching these videos. I should support you for being open and listening to people that you might not agree with, I was wrong. In terms of Dawkins, what you see as bitter toward religion, I see as frustrated with fighting for the obvious.
@fromwilliams thank you for being a great example of a dumb dawkins basher. its normal religious propaganda to bash anyone with a differing opinion. Just cause you live a trailer park and never went to science class doesnt give you any right to bash real scientists/philosophers.
@fromwilliams Ah yes, the blatant assertion, the claims made without evidence and the downright slander of a position that runs contrary to one's own. Religion at it's finest.
I feel a bit sorry for Dawkins. His views about religion have always been unbalanced and obsessive and it is sad that he begins to look more ridiculous as he gets older. He had an admirable scientific reputation and surely made enough money out of sales of the ridiculous The God Delusion to wannabe intellectuals without making himself a total fool in public.
@joe1234567890i and I do not mean to sound combative, but I am just perplexed at the animosity towards Christians, and yes I know there are a lot of bad apples,A LOT :-) but, please use discernment!
Every point you've made and every question you've asked (except for those being completely off topic) has been addressed in the video on which you're commenting. The last one especially was handled right near the beginning. " I am just perplexed at the animosity towards Christians" Dawkins addresses this directly.
Either you did not watch the video or you struggle with basic comprehension and understanding of the English language.
@Tarislar ever heard of rhetorical statements? or would you like to tell me what to think and how to think it too?
Why jump to such a negative conclusion and belittle my arguments rather than address them or enlighten me, since obviously you have all the answers. It's called civil discourse, Dawkins displays it btw.
May 13 1981 was the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima , that's why John Paul II associated his survival with it. it's stupid, but not totally contextually unreasonable...
Way to go! Lump Christians with the 9-11 highjackers... That is really intelligent. You are definitely working your arguments backward. You do not believe in God, therefore anyone who believes in anything is an extremist. And then, you say the moderates are the most dangerous because they somehow legitimize their religion (and that makes it harder for you to push your own agenda. Also, why would you presume to teach my children anything?Let's each Teach our own kids.
@RodiAgnusDei I'll teach my kids a flying blob of spaghetti created the universe. Let's each teach our own kids. How about no. You have no training in science; you shouldn't teach your children your pseudo-science fairy tale.
@RodiAgnusDei There is nothing wrong with teaching your opinion to your kid, but when you espouse it as truth, then that crosses the line of what should be deemed unacceptable (but sadly isn't by a majority of our society). Use BlckSbthMan's example when consider what you are arguing for: if a good number of people taught their children that the spaghetti monster created the universe, then we would be steering towards a course of ignorance and deceit.
with all due respect, while you guys would like to challenge what I as a parent deem as truth which I teach to my child, please give an example of any other issue where you would step in and forcibly teach someone's child, other than religion or an illegality).
we are treading some dangerous water when we decide what someone else believes and teaches their child (that has no moral or (il)legal implication) is acceptable or unacceptable.
@joe1234567890i one more thing Joe. Do you do something about the father who tells his kid that smoking or heavy drinking is ok (even though science proves otherwise) because he teaches his child something that is obviously not true. Do you form a colaition to combat all those bad parents out there who endanger their kids lives by allowing them to do drugs and underage drinking?
Does it upset you as much as it upsets you that a Christian teaches their child that God created the Universe?
@RodiAgnusDei I lived under communism for 9 years. If you did, you would never allow someone to dictate to you what you thought or believed ever again.
@BlckSbthMan Ok, I agree that physics should be taught by a physics teacher, but I don't agree with the physics teacher drawing moral inferences and teaching his/her (atheist) religion as the only true fact in the arena of ideas. One thing I do admire about Dawkins is the fact that he states that the Bible should be taught in school (even if his reason for it is only for literaure's sake).
For Christians it is of course much more than that
but, pls. respect our right to practice our religion
1 Corinthians1:18 For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written,
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.”
20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
ok, guys... you got me!!!!, I don't speak English either, so cut the crap and pay attention to what is most important here. If this lectures could be given in Spanish and spread out in the social networks I'm sure many others would listen and and get rid of the old stinking religious ideas that have kept so many in the darkness of the bronze age. It is basically a cultural problem because it is also an information problem. That is why I said to "have access"... to the information I meant.
I just realized 2 things today: first isn't it rather strange that of all the people associated with New Atheism there is not 1 social scientist? & second why do we accept it that a(n exact[?]) scientist like Dawkins talks about the subjects of social science we would find it probably (& rightfully so) completely absurd if a social scientist would do the same with the subjects of natural science?
It's a slaughterhouse, eat animal or be eaten by animal or starve.
The most humane thing for us humans to do is to stop bringing more human death and suffering into the world. Knowing what we atheists know about life, It's child abuse to do so!
No birth no death or suffering, no short term pleasure or short term happiness, guaranteed suffering. What you don't know you don't miss so to escape being born in perfect bliss.
Please be merciful! Have pity! have yourselves castrated.

Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.
A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption. Even non-religious people know this.
Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.

Actually is sad that he didnt answer the question. Now he shows a lot of edited videos to put some joke in it, but no answer.... I accept.
Fantasticlist 4 months ago
@Fantasticlist You have to keep in mind that he's speaking to a group of atheists/non-believers. Which means he's basically preaching to the choir when he presented his "no answer" video. He's not out to prove a point, he's simply sharing a laugh with a group of like-minded individuals who already know what his answer would have been and why the edited video was a laughable attempt at making him look foolish.

@Fantasticlist Are you asking ME to answer his question or are you demanding HIS answer (which was edited out of the original video)?
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred His answer obviously. But actually I already know you have theories. You always do. When evolution dont know the answer, it creates a theory to everybody accept. Everybody does and you all believe in those theories about how could information increase in nature.
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist Well actually, it's not a theory. It is observable. He goes into detail about genes and their development in his book "The Greatest Show On Earth"; and he does so in a much more sophistocated way than I could here.
So, if you want HIS answer, I recommend you take a look at the book. But perhaps that's an overly-optimistic proposition on my part.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred Sure, probably you dont even understand what he explains there, but as he is the atheist prophet you all accept that even if not understanding lol Id like at least a simple answer but sure I have to buy one of the books of the atheist bible...
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist Listen kiddo; I'm not an atheist - firstly - I'm an agnostic. Secondly, an intellectual individual doesn't blindly follow what others say; especially not if they don't understand it. People who do that generally follow a major religion. You wanted your answer, I told you where to find it. What you do with that information is your choice entirely. But know that there is no simple answer. Genetics are not simple. If you want it, however, you now know where to find it.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred The answers he gives are all hypotesis or suppositions, not observable facts. Thats where I wanted to get. Follow a religion without understand is also deplorable and sad, fortunately thats not my case either.
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist No, actually, they are observable facts. You cannot assume things about it without bothering to look into it in the first place. That's just idiotic.
I say again, you now know where to find the answers you're asking for. You may choose to look into the matter to find them, or you may choose to not look into it and just assume - blindly - that you already know what he explains and that it's false. The choice is yours, but surely you can see how one is more idiotic than the other.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred I already know what he says and which are fallible hypothesis. You should also read some intelligent design with its arguments and take a global conclusion of everything. Then you would know about both sides and not assume, blindly, that you already know that ID arguments are false.
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist If you haven't read the book, then no, you have no idea what he says. What he presents - I'll say again - are facts. Not theories; not hypothesis. Observable, testable, REtestable facts.
Additionally, I was Christian for the first 20 years of my life. I've heard the arguments for ID again and again. I've even argued in their favor on many occasions.
Then I realized the true dynamics of science and realized how false the ID claim really is. So don't assume that I don't know your
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist (cont.) side of the argument, because I do. All too well. It used to be MY side as well.
However, testable and observable science has proven it to be false time and time again. That is why I adhere to the argument that stands up to scrutiny.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred You know you are lying man lol You were not a christian. You may had be a religious boy, but not a christian. A Christian wont find anything more clarifying than God. So, if you did you were not and you have to accept that you only knew religion, not the true loving God :)
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist Firstly, I have no reason to lie. I was in fact a Christian.
Secondly, it's so very arrogant of you (and every other Christian I speak to) to just assume that if someone had truely been a Christian, surely they'd still be one. After all, Christianity is just that great, huh?
Wake up, kiddo. Some people grow up. Others don't. We've all got to let go of Santa Clause at some point.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred Dont need to be offended. If you quit being a christian, how can you tell me you were a truly christian? Even more to another christian. Thats simply logics, think. Do you want to talk about arrogance and prepotency? Because if you want, you all evos/atheists win. You are all the time calling ignorants and oh how you said "Some people grow up. Others don't. We've all got to let go of Santa Clause at some point." Yes thats arrogance and prepotency. And a BIG lack of what God is.
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist That's like saying "If you quit eating meat, how can you tell me that you ever really liked meat?" Of course I was a Christian. I adhered to my irrationality as though my eternal life depended on it. Because, of course, I thought that it did.
But as I said, we've all got to wake up sometime. I began learning more about how the world actually works and as an uncontrollable result, my faith faded away. It doesn't mean I am lying about being Christian. It simply means I woke up.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred No, you got asleep lol You couldnt ever be a christian, sorry about that. If you dont accept this ok because I cant accept your argument too. If you tell me you couldnt find any faith enough or evidence for youself, thats ok. But telling me you were a christian doesnt fit. And actually the meat example is bad because quit on meat doesnt make meat to disappear, in the other hand, by quit on God you accepted His absence even if you cant prove that its impossible that He exists.
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist Well interestingly, I never claimed that God didn't exist. That's an assumption you made entirely on your own.
In any case, I was a Christian, but in your arrogance ("if you were really Christian, you'd never turn away because we're just that awesome") you will assume I wasn't. That is your right; to assume that you know my position better than I did. You know, because you lived it and I didn't.
I mean wait...
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist Additionally, in regard to your "meat' comment; my quitting Christianity doesn't mean Christianity dissapeared either. It simply means I don't invest anything in it anymore. As I said, I never claimed that your God didn't exist.
Nice try, though.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred Look. At first if you dont claimed God doesnt exist, why all this? Because it really looks like. Then you say you were a christian and you are no more, so if you believed Him you wouldnt quit Him. The example of meat was firstly gave for you and I never said "that we are that awesome". Im not trying anythin, though, just making you understand that when you say "I don't invest anything in it anymore." I hope u understand ure talking about religion and not God, and ty for that ;)
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist Why all this - what? This conversation? I'm not allowed to engage in stimulating debate with others?
And yes, I was in fact a Christian. In every way, shape and form. I went so far as to end a relationship with a woman I thought would hinder my faith; despite the immense love I had for her. I felt an obligation to take the side of my God in the end.
So, you are not in a position to be assuming what I was and was not. It is a foolish endeavor on your part. Perhaps even arrogant.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred Why all your arguments and ideas if the central idea for you is that God doesnt exist. If you think that, ok for you. Why should I spend my time trying to make you believe in something that you know by yourself? Man no, you denial is with you.
You were a religious guy. If you really had feel the Spirit and the Love of God in your life, you couldnt say that. Call arrogance but thats what I think of you indeed. Deeply you know how your relation with God was ;)
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist My arguments and ideas were originally centered around evolution (scroll back up to the begining of our little debate). I never spoke against the possibility of a God. Why do you people always assume that if I reject creationism, I must also be rejecting God's existence altogether? There can be evolution with or without a god. And at this point in our scientific history, when evolution is observable fact, I might dare to say that God and evolution are now two seperate topics.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred You said you were agnostic. Agnostic means that you need to study.
If you have Jesus and His word only, you will be a christian.
If you study science only, you will be an atheist.
If you study science and have Jesus in your life, you are an informed Christian.
An agnostic is someone who cant decide anything. Didnt have Jesus or could study the claims against the paradigmatic science.
There are answers for all my claims, you should try to find them out, as I did.
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist An agnostic is not someone who can't decide anything. An agnostic - in the true sense - is someone who accepts that the possibility of deities is beyond our current Human understanding. I'd never be so bold as to say that there is NO God, nor would I be so bold as to say that there IS a God. The reason being that nobody knows. Therefore, Agnosticism is a more logical position than most others.
When I realized that, I shed myself of Christianity.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred Obviously thats the easy answer and the "meaning" of it. But since there is actually a way to be sure of Gods existence, that argument is flawed. So if no other conclusion from our discussion, we can end this. Just dont forget that you can be sure of Gods existence, if ure not is because u are only looking for something natural and not really wanting to find Him. Cheers ;)
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist Well with an incredibly bold claim such as "There is actually a way to be sure of God's existence", no rational individual could leave this argument as it is.
If you truely believe you have some sort of absolute proof of God's existence - one that trumps all of scientific, theistic, mathematical and philosophical history - I'd very much like to hear it. You may drop me a message if needed.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred Do you still live in earth? Because if you do, you know there are billions of people believing that there is a God. Then, you have millions (actually 2billions) of christians believing that too. Even if a percentage is not sure, you have millions of people with the certain. So, how can you talk by the mouth of millions ? Thats actually funny even more after me telling you that its a personal relation. And you cant deny what I and all others know and are sure of.
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist That's not an argument. That in no way proves that Christianity - or theism in general, for that matter - is correct. Sheer popularity can change fiction into fact? I don't think so. You're going to have to fork over more concrete "proof" than that.
It's funny, though, I was talking about The Beatles with someone once. I belittled their talent and someone said "2 million people can't be wrong."
I responded with "Have you even HEARD of Christianity?"
Anectodal, but makes a point
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred Exactly, 2million people is enough to state that Beatles have talent right?
What I said, was that the evidence you claim is something supernatural that lives inside each one of us. Its a personal relation with God, lived by millions. All those millions are clear and with evidence enough. So thats all you need to know. There won't be a natural evidence for a supernatural God that loved us with pure faith. There is John 20:29.
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist There are also millions of people who believe voices in their heads speak to them.
Millions more once believed that the Earth was flat.
Hell, if story-book fantasy had been made into a religion instead of Jesus and God; millions of people would "live personal relations" with gnomes and fairies.
As I said, popularity is by no means a proof of your claim. There is no natural evidence because guess what?
It's make-believe.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred Those arguments are bad. That idea of the world believing in a earth flat is wrong. Millions of people who hear voices? Wrong numbers (and you should look for the studies around it to understand it better I guess, may be madness or not). Youre trying to find denials in anything I may say man, thats not an intelligent attitude with no purpose at all. Dont mix things, religion and God are different. If u dont know about the relation, ignore it. Simple.
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist I've studied psychology for 5 years (give or take), I'm well aware of those who suffer from Schizophrenia. Regardless, my arguments are not "bad". Nor are they innacurate. They are exactly on par with what I'm talking about.
As does every Christian, however, you fail to see the parallels when I draw them. EVeryone says the same thing - "The flat-Earth belief is wrong", but no, Jesus; that's true stuff right there.
It's absolutely infuriating what you people fail to see.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist And no, I can't simply "ignore it". Your "personal relationship" with your God causes you to cling to a long-outdated idea of the world, which you then teach to your children and they to their children. The irrationality is passed on from generation to generation and it continues to detriment the rest of us. Many of it's advocates go so far as to outwardly belittle those who believe in actual, observable reality - sometimes to the point of violence.
This cannot just be ignored.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred Jesus what? lol And deny something (the only thing that you guys know to do), dont disprove anything.
Well imagine you love apples. I come here and say "you dont like apples because you dont know what an apple is". But you actually ate many apples and you know what you like.
Which psychology can also explain.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred God is supernatural did you know? You wont smell Him lol You need to find evidence in who have relation with Him, not in natural science.
Extreme mental or physical duress? You are being so ignorant, Im sorry man. You should say that to the millions of balanced Christians in the world. Where most of them are graduate people and civic examples in society ;)
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist "Balanced" now doesn't mean that they didn't have a severe mental or physical trauma at some point.
And thus far, the people who claim to "speak to God" or have heard Him speak to them have only done so when in such situations. Why? Because the brain does fucked up things when you've had a blow to the head; you've lost half of your blood-volume; or when you're absolutely overcome by emotion. And I wont even go into schizophrenia.
Once more, your "proof" fails. I am sorry.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred LMAO I know a lot of people who would kick you ass in balanced mind man ;)
If you have anything more intelligent to say than that we are all a big bunch of mental invalid, Ive nothing more to say. Just that you are ignorant about what you are trying to talk and that God is not felt by emotion. You cant talk about what you dont know, do some studies.
Fantasticlist 3 months ago
@Fantasticlist The fact that I don't agree with your faith does not mean I am "ignorant", my friend.
Quite the contrary; the main reason many people don't believe your fairy-tale is precisely BECAUSE they know the dynamics of it. They realize the theological side, and they realize the scientific side. They realize the true nature of Temporal Lobe hallucinations and their effect on a mind living in an overtly-religious society.
Trust me, I know plenty. And that is WHY I don't agree with you.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred Why do I have to be repeating this all the time? Personal relation!
This is the same as if I was here telling you that you actually dont love your wife and that is your Temporal Lobe making you think you do!

The time has come to raise our consciousness to the next level, is now or never.

protestants believe in a god and one or two of his tricks(like virgin birth )
jews also believe in a god and a few tricks(like parting the red sea-but not virgin births)
muslims believe in a god who offers a pretty comfortable lifestyle in a hereafter if they fight the soldiers of satan(the first three groups!) Unbelievable, isn't it?

Saying Stalin didn't kill in the name of atheism is just a play on words. Atheists are so keen on pointing out that atheism is not a positive affirmation, it's just a non-belief. Hitchens even said that the word "atheism" shouldn't even exist.
Now, you can't have it both ways... You can't make a point of saying "no crimes were commited IN THE NAME OF atheism". That is a non-sense. However, I challenge anyone to deny that Stalin did crimes in the name of some anti-christian principes.
Gazdo01 5 months ago
@Gazdo01 Let's see: An infallible leader whose every word must be obeyed, a bright future promised in the distant future (promised only for the faithful), a bunch of devout followers, a clear sense of "if you're not with us you are against us", persecution of everybody who was perceived to be the latter, the firm belief that there was a Plan and that it was in a Book...Sounds pretty Christian to me.
TomFynn 5 months ago
@TomFynn You said it... sounds like. But these are not specific Christian principles, it so happens that SOME of them, in certain context, may apply to SOME Christians denominations.
Christianity isn't based on the persecution of everybody "else". As for "the Plan", maybe you're talking about eschatalogy, but then again, Christianity is not BASED on that. The "Book" isn't ALL there is neither.
Plus, the person of the pope musn't be blinded followed. He's not infaillible in that sense.
Gazdo01 5 months ago
@Gazdo01 It isn't based on the persecution of everybody else? Inform your self on the persecution of pagans (i.e. everybody else) under Constantine when Christians came to power. Over the centuries the accusation "heretic" was a sure-fire death sentence. As late as 1967 Lloyd Geering was officially accused of heresy.
As for that Plan thing? God suddenly doesn't have a Plan for everybody? Everything isn't foreordained? There is not a paradise promised for the faithful? What happened?
TomFynn 5 months ago
@TomFynn "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us." (2 Cor 4.7)
Bad christians doesn't mean bad christianity.
" Over the centuries the accusation "heretic" was a sure-fire death sentence." That's complete non-sense. Stop bein influenced by false anti-catholic propaganda.
"As late as 1967" So what? Heresy means rejecting what the Church consideres to be Truth. You are a heretics, sorry.
Gazdo01 5 months ago
@Gazdo01 Albigensians, Cathars, Spanish Inquisition, Giordano Bruno, John Wycliffe, Michael Servetus. Do I have to bring up the Crusades? The genocide of the Native Americans and general rape of indigenous cultures? Slavery? Rejecting what the Church considers the Truth does not lead to ruin anymore, since we've seen through the Bullshit.
I'm sorry, I don't give a fuck for ideal Christianity. I judge - as it is the only thing anyone can - by what is there, not by what you want to be there.
TomFynn 5 months ago
@TomFynn Can you tell me HOW MANY deaths ALL OF THESE generated?
You see the Inquisition as this demonic thing... but don't realise what it gave to the world: right to a lawyer, no judgment based on personnal accusation, etc... You don't realise that the Inquisition was supported by the people, it gave them a fair legal system.
Cathars were a dangerous sect who claimed that collective suicide was a solution.
Gazdo01 5 months ago
@Gazdo01 The Inquisition was not a bad thing? Being tried *at all* for thought crime and even tortured and burned for it not a bad thing? And you have the gall to think that you are any different from Stalin? Sorry. No. That is *exactly* the mindset of Stalin.
As for the Cathatrs, they only resorted to suicide since they would rather die by their own hand than by that of the oh-so-Christian army at their gates.
TomFynn 5 months ago
@TomFynn I agree that the death penalty is not a good solution... but that was the way things were done. Don't blame christianity for it, blame human barbarism.
" I judge - as it is the only thing anyone can - by what is there, not by what you want to be there."

TomFynn 5 months ago
@TomFynn "God suddenly doesn't have a Plan for everybody?"
Sorry, not all christians believe in the heretic claims made by calvinists about pre-determination...
Gazdo01 5 months ago
@Gazdo01 "not all christians believe" I do not give the slightest damn about the various hues and colors of theological niceties.
TomFynn 5 months ago
@TomFynn Well then how can you judge CHRISTIANITY if you don't give the slightnest damn about what it preaches?
Are you going to accuse christians of being polygamous, based on mormonism?
If you're going to depict the BIG PICTURE with some trivial examples, then there is no point talking to you. You're not engaging this discussion seriously.
Gazdo01 5 months ago
@Gazdo01 I don't give a damn, since it is all magical thinking. It is all based on false premises. It is all based on blind obedience to unintelligible propositions. It all glories in the rejection of critical faculties.
And if you think the murder of millions in the examples I gave you are trivial, you are a truly evil person.
TomFynn 5 months ago
@TomFynn "I don't give a damn"... Very nice. That's the only thing you've learn to say?
"And if you think the murder of millions" Made up number, created by false anti-catholic propaganda.
I never said killing people was a good thing, but that's not a christian derived principle, which was the center of discussion to begin with.
Gazdo01 5 months ago
@Gazdo01 Sorry what? The crusades, the persecution of the heretic the genocides of the Natives was not done by Christians? It's all one big conspiracy? Hop over to Walmart. Tin foil hats are on offer.
You said the the examples and the death of millions they encompass are "trivial". To belittle the death and suffering of people in that way is truly evil.
TomFynn 5 months ago
@TomFynn When close to 100% of people are christians, then you can blame christianity for almost anything...
Now you're saying that christianity is responsable for the genocide of Natives?? COME ON!!!
Gazdo01 5 months ago
@Gazdo01 Oh yes. Inform yourself on the Spanish Conquistadors who would have any right to come up with term "extermination through labor" and the murder of the Native American by the Christan Immigrants later known as Americans.
TomFynn 5 months ago
@TomFynn Ok man... continue with your narrow view... Christianity is responsable for ALL the evil in the world. Good luck with your life man.
Gazdo01 5 months ago
@Gazdo01 Christianity is responsible for quite a lot of evil in the world. And the mindset of it is exactly homologous to that of the Great Dictators of the recent past.
TomFynn 5 months ago
@TomFynn Like I said... when close to 100% of the Western World was christian... it's pretty easy to say that christianity if responsable for everything going wrong in the world.
What you are doing is creating a false causality between the two. That's a very dangerous path.
You obviouly chose to remain blind when exposed to all the GREAT things Catholicism brought to Western Civilisation.
Gazdo01 5 months ago
@Gazdo01 So all the atrocities cited were done by Christians? And Christianity is therefore not responsible for them as to how? What kind of schizophrenia is that? And has anything changed about the basic propositions of Christianity ? No, its the same old magical thinking.
I'd rather like to image which Solar System we could be heading for now, if anyone who tried to think about the world in a rational and scientific way *wouldn't* have had to fear for his life.
TomFynn 5 months ago
@TomFynn If you really think that by elimination ALL SPIRITUALITY in the world you're going to solve all problems, all wars, all evil, then you are the one mistaken.
Gazdo01 5 months ago
@Gazdo01 Nowhere did I suggest that. As Freud noted the religious impulse, born out of a fear of death will always be with us. But the world will be a better place when we stop giving any credence to bullshit propositions. Like those of religion.

brumfed10 6 months ago
@onesweetasuzy Inform yourself on some science basics: The second law of thermodynamics states that the entropy of an isolated system only increases over time. The earth however is *not* an isolated system. It takes up energy from the sun. That is the engine that powers all biological processes up to and including evolution

Even if this was the youtube comments it's still a way of communication, I wonder why you don't think about the things I said in the earlier comment. Is it something about youtube comments that prohibits ideas from reaching the brain? I suppose Crusades are your idea to "share the good news!" (I repeat my ideas in hopes of you understanding.)
daninetails867 6 months ago
@onesweetasuzy I'll assume that was a joke lol.
daninetails867 6 months ago
@onesweetasuzy Really you couldn't link crusade to fear? For a christian you sure don't know your history. What ever it's alright if you're christian you're most likely an idiot any way. Let me take it a step further as Christianity has become wide spread more people are going to fear hell and torture for not believing. But you know a Crusade is obviously better than that. because you're doing it for God!
daninetails867 6 months ago
@onesweetasuzy It'll still be here because if you don't believe in it you're going to have another crusade on your hands! Simply put, inserting fear into people is nothing to be proud of.

Scientism is not science; it is just an ideology like any other - and Dawkins its High-Priest.
fromwilliams 7 months ago
@fromwilliams I dont think hes a disgrace I think he's overly bitter about religion. He thinks it kills science when he knows he has the freedom to go and be a scientist if he wished instead of being spending your time speaking against religion.
opivy07 7 months ago
@opivy07 the problems is that you and fromwilliams think that talking about truth and reason is against religion. Why are you fairy tale believers even on here watching the video?
MrKGatl 7 months ago
@MrKGatl I didn't say anything bad about Dawkins I just said he is bitter about religion and a lot of times he is. I actually agree with some of Dawkins points and have some respect for him because unlike many youtube atheist such as yourself, Dawkins has the gift to do something sooo incredible, that is he can talk to people and agree to disagree with them without insulting them. Its pretty amazing. Btw I watch this video cuz Im bored and these type of issues concern and interest me.
opivy07 7 months ago
@opivy07 Yes, in hindsight I shouldn't belittle you for watching these videos. I should support you for being open and listening to people that you might not agree with, I was wrong. In terms of Dawkins, what you see as bitter toward religion, I see as frustrated with fighting for the obvious.
MrKGatl 7 months ago
@fromwilliams thank you for being a great example of a dumb dawkins basher. its normal religious propaganda to bash anyone with a differing opinion. Just cause you live a trailer park and never went to science class doesnt give you any right to bash real scientists/philosophers.
MrKGatl 7 months ago
@fromwilliams Ah yes, the blatant assertion, the claims made without evidence and the downright slander of a position that runs contrary to one's own. Religion at it's finest.
TomFynn 6 months ago
I feel a bit sorry for Dawkins. His views about religion have always been unbalanced and obsessive and it is sad that he begins to look more ridiculous as he gets older. He had an admirable scientific reputation and surely made enough money out of sales of the ridiculous The God Delusion to wannabe intellectuals without making himself a total fool in public.

Tarislar 8 months ago
@Tarislar ever heard of rhetorical statements? or would you like to tell me what to think and how to think it too?
Why jump to such a negative conclusion and belittle my arguments rather than address them or enlighten me, since obviously you have all the answers. It's called civil discourse, Dawkins displays it btw.

Meskiagkasher 8 months ago
RodiAgnusDei 8 months ago
@RodiAgnusDei I'll teach my kids a flying blob of spaghetti created the universe. Let's each teach our own kids. How about no. You have no training in science; you shouldn't teach your children your pseudo-science fairy tale.
BlckSbthMan 8 months ago
@BlckSbthMan So, you are assuming that only someone who knows science can teach our kids the means of the creation of the universe?
What gives your opinion more credence than mine ? is yours based on science? No, then you can't assert your opinion based on your argumentation.
RodiAgnusDei 8 months ago
@RodiAgnusDei There is nothing wrong with teaching your opinion to your kid, but when you espouse it as truth, then that crosses the line of what should be deemed unacceptable (but sadly isn't by a majority of our society). Use BlckSbthMan's example when consider what you are arguing for: if a good number of people taught their children that the spaghetti monster created the universe, then we would be steering towards a course of ignorance and deceit.
joe1234567890i 8 months ago
@joe1234567890i
with all due respect, while you guys would like to challenge what I as a parent deem as truth which I teach to my child, please give an example of any other issue where you would step in and forcibly teach someone's child, other than religion or an illegality).
we are treading some dangerous water when we decide what someone else believes and teaches their child (that has no moral or (il)legal implication) is acceptable or unacceptable.
Try communism for couple years...
RodiAgnusDei 8 months ago
@joe1234567890i one more thing Joe. Do you do something about the father who tells his kid that smoking or heavy drinking is ok (even though science proves otherwise) because he teaches his child something that is obviously not true. Do you form a colaition to combat all those bad parents out there who endanger their kids lives by allowing them to do drugs and underage drinking?
Does it upset you as much as it upsets you that a Christian teaches their child that God created the Universe?

@BlckSbthMan Ok, I agree that physics should be taught by a physics teacher, but I don't agree with the physics teacher drawing moral inferences and teaching his/her (atheist) religion as the only true fact in the arena of ideas. One thing I do admire about Dawkins is the fact that he states that the Bible should be taught in school (even if his reason for it is only for literaure's sake).
For Christians it is of course much more than that

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.”
20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
