Actually, this is a good method of getting customers, believe it or not. When people see some ordinary commercial that's all flashy and generic, nobody cares. However, when you have something different, people recognize and remember it more. People in general already recognize it's purposely made that way, cause it's Rhett and Link.

1) This is hilarious.

2) I hope people are aware of how invasive and demeaning these commercials are to the subjects. I have no doubt that going into towns and helping local businesses make these commercials helps their sales and publicity. However, it's for all the wrong reasons. Two young, white, educated, urban males going into rural communities and improving your own status through making a total mockery of local communities is disingenuous, perpetuates damaging stereotypes, and you know it.
