Yes, Al Aqsa mosque is mentioned in the Quran. But the Quran doesn't say where it is. If you know your own religion you would know that "Al Aqsa" just means "the very distant" mosque.

And your Palestine was never a country. It was a a small colony in a province of the Ottoman Empire. Much of the land was owned by the Jewish Agency. Of the rest, most of the landowners there lived in Damascus or Beirut.
