Either Slime tubes or go tubeless and run Stan's or Caffelatex in them. In a war with goat-head thorns the goat-heads will always win. All you can do is prep for them with sealant. Armadillos are awesome for commuting but for mountain biking they are REALLY hard and REALLY heavy. Not fun on off-road.
I currently have 2 Specialized Armadillos on...great tires...but I don't think anything can withstand the massive thorns in some of the ogden fields. Do you recommend anything?
yeah theres thes 1 that dont use no air at all and if u just riding and having fun its way good with mountain biking but if you can find 1 that fit there way good for ogden and do you no any trails on 12th st ogden ut?
Cool. I've seen those tires but I've never tried them.
Yeah, there's a couple trail access areas right there on 12th St:
*Rainbow Trail head. If you want hit the single track right off, do this trail. It takes you up the Ogden Canyon Scenic overlook...and also connects to the Bonneville shoreline trail. The trail head is located at the south end of the parking lot of the store: "Rainbow Garden Gift Shop" located across the street from the dinosaur park.
*The Ogden River Parkway. (also by the dinosaur park) It's paved but if you follow the parkway long enough (heading west, then south)...the paved trail will end...you'll cross some railroad tracks and then you'll be on some rarely used singletrack. This way will eventually connect you to the Riverdale Parkway.

OR Another option:

**Only do this one if you have LOTS of time**
