This car was supposed to do 30-35 mpg in the US cycle. ALL of VW's diesels do better than that. So what the hell is the point of this "mild hybrid" powertrain???

I don't see your logic. To call this a jetta coupe would be paying homage to the mk2 ('85-92) jetta coupes of the past.

No, see that's the thing. This car is nothing like the MK2. Doesn't even look like a VW. Look how the civic evolved. It stays a civic. Can't say the same about the Jetta.

you can say just as much for the jetta, you are a fool if you think newer hondas look anything like from 80s hondas, or older. you are completely and utterly wrong, and at first guess id say you arent even old enough to drive by your knowledge of car design... but i know better than that.

You're right, the newer hondas look nothing like the old 80s models. They evolve, and keep some design features from the previous models.

Cover the VW logo on the NCC and ask a random person to guess what kind of car it is. He'll probably say Audi, Crystler, Cadillac or something.
