So far I like the way it is laid out and the graphics are good, he speaks clearly but his speech pattern reminds me of an educational video from the 1970's.

The way his tone goes up near the end of a sentence, then ends very slowly and a little lower pitch.

Drives me crazy & I cannot follow along. Anyone else have this problem ?

But,as an example for you,

A---Internet marketing is your --(market)

B---Internet marketing tips is your --(niche)

C---seo tips,search engine tips,search engine optimazation tips,search engine marketing tips,are all --(micro niches).

Hope this explains it.

when i entered (internet marketing tips) into google search,at the bottom of page,look at the related searches.This is where i would start.

The few that pop up to me for a micro niche are:

seo tips,search engine optimzation tips,search engine marketing tips,heres 3 micro niches on one subject that google told me they want more info on.

dig as low as you want but still keep decent search numbers and low competition.For instance,spanish christma deserts is a micro niche.

Niche I think is the most difficult "startup" challenge for every newbie though what made it easier for me is through searching for my passion and knowing how I understand it and then evaluate if there's a market in it so when I produce content, I know it'll be yielding me both profitable results and value for my readers.

His example was just that.Try this.

go to google,enter,(health and fitness).This is market.

Go to 7th listing,not including local search.

Click on Men's Fitness.The .com website.(This is niche).

After your on (men's fitness site),on left top side,hover your mouse on (fitness).

When the drop down options open ,2nd one down is (ab excersises),this is your micro niche.

Hopes this helps.

When the page opens,the 5th listing,not including the local search,is (edmunds.com).This is your niche.

Now as you can see by there listing.

(Edmunds car buying guide lists new car prices, used car prices, car comparisons, car buying advice, car ratings, car values, auto leasing.)

All the services they provide are (micro-niches).

In other words,you would target for say,as an example,

(car buying advice).your micro-niche.

As a test for myself I looked up health & fitness so I could drill down to muscle gain and then to muscle gain nutrition. To my surprise neither muscle gain nor muscle gain nutrition showed up in the search. I'm obviously doing something wrong. Can anyone help me understand how to do this search properly.

Glad to start off in the new challenge. I'm honestly hoping that we don't have too many paid products being used with this Challenge. Us newbie internet marketers are usually not setup to buy one product after another and would like to take advantage of the free tools (ie keywords tools) that are on the internet.

@truthseeker1943 First, you'll want to identify a potential market to target. This can be anything that interests you, or it can be something that you believe has a large following. The video provided a couple. A good example would be 'pets.' Then drill down into that market to narrow the scope a bit. With the market 'pets,' a possible niche would be 'pet hamsters.' Then go the final step to target something specific within the niche. The micro-niche could be 'how to choose a pet hamster.'

Hey Truth seeker, what sort of help would you like?? I would suggest you start by researching a market that is to do with your hobbies or interests.

Eg the first year I did the challenge it was fishing.

So the market was fishing, then a niche market of fishing might be river fishing, the Micro Niche was Barramundi fishing. Hope this helps

@truthseeker1943 Go to Google and search for a general term (e.g. fitness). This is a market. You may find mention of women's fitness. Search again on "women's fitness." This is a niche. You may find mention of "exercises for pregnant women." This is a micro-niche. Other examples: health, weight loss, low carb diets--boats, luxury boats, luxury boat financing--pets, dogs, golden retrievers--etc. This is not a logically precise exercise. The idea is to think set, subset, sub-subset. Have fun!
