Maybe you should ask the event organiser for a refund. I sure wouldn't want them next to me. Look at ALL the salt he pours on that stuff.

Uptown Art Fair is huge, every year something different in front of my booth(same location 29 years in a row). I could have complained but did not. (Several years ago at this point.) Also had charcoal smoke from a seafood vendor a couple of years. All part of the "atmosphere" along with weird weather and other variables. I enjoyed "people watching" and sales were up there. bp

Stainless first then into Copper kettle....propane gas jets underneath...my jewelry booth canopy turned tan/yellow from 3 days of the sugar, oil smoke...argh. I took many videos over course of show...kettle guy drank hundreds of bootles of water..so hot-summertime.
He did not like my presence...feeling was mutual.
