Didn't you wonder why Churches aren't being used anymore? The same will eventually happen to Islam. All Abrahamitic religions are based on primitive superstition irrelevant to interpretation of the world today by science. Education is the key here. Muslims brought up in secular societies with access to the same education will come to learn the truth of our existence through understanding of science. Their aspirations will also change also leading to a decline in active religious worship.

If this church hadn't been turned into a mosque it would have become derelict; Methodist worshippers dwindled until it closed. There are parking problems on Fridays but it's no worse than if 1000 Methodists were parking their cars. Churches have been turned into nightclubs, etc. There's no scandal here, no Muslim conquest. A place where muslims come to pray and park in local residents private areas . Before and after praying some like to become abusive to locals who complain at having them park in driveways, carparks and sometimes garden.

I love the Didsbury Mosque. I've seen pics of this Gothic mosque - it's beautiful and unique. It's as beautiful as the Great Mosque of Xian (though with Chinese architecture).
What a stunning Church. Built by Christian worshippers for Christian worship, I guess everyone looks upto Jesus Christ and even other religions feel the need to use buildings once used to Christian worship so as to feel closer to God.

The number of Muslims in Didsbury is something like 2% and UNDER the national average. Worshippers travel from miles around as there are few mosques in this area. If this church hadn't been turned into a mosque it would have become derelict; Methodist worshippers dwindled until it closed. There are parking problems on Fridays but it's no worse than if 1000 Methodists were parking their cars. Churches have been turned into nightclubs, etc. There's no scandal here, no Muslim conquest. Relax.

The arguement here is different when you talk about why the world defeated nazism, Hitler sought world domination just like some elements within Islam want, the West doesn't want world domination, it just seeks to wipe out terrorist training camps in Afghanistan so we are told and when you say 'infidels' would you class over 3000 people who died in the twin towers as 'infidels' or the people who died in London bombings in 2005 as 'infidels' ?

A place where muslims come to pray and park in local residents private areas . Before and after praying some like to become abusive to locals who complain at having them park in driveways, carparks and sometimes garden.
The local comunity welcomed the the mosque however the intolerance of some is now brreding a growing desire amongst locals to have the mosque closed.
It is unfortunate that some have no respect for anyone outside their religion,

What a stunning Church. Built by Christian worshippers for Christian worship, I guess everyone looks upto Jesus Christ and even other religions feel the need to use buildings once used to Christian worship so as to feel closer to God.

I am glad that you like the building & that you've found happiness being in union with Christ. Everyone has the right to feel happy of whatever beliefs they choose to have in them. I respect your choice and I tolerate people practising religions other than Islam. U must acknowledge that different people worship God in their own way. I suppose everyone looks up to their God in a house of worship for salvation, inner peace & even a strong sense of brotherhood/sisterhood regardless of their faith.

Fucking great the rag heads get to build churches in britain but how come they dont allow christian churches in their own country, they expect everything to given to them, they have bled the system in UK after destroying their own toliet contries, great religion that advocates beating of women and allow men to rape women as the rulers dont believe what women say

Look, I'm not saying that Muslims should proselytise all churches into mosques. I'm just saying the mosque looks nice & unique. U r wrong. So, there's really no need to bitch about Muslims. U r wrong about Muslims. If u go to nations like Turkey & Malaysia Christians r allowed to build churches. My dad doesn't beat up my mother at all & he doesn't need to. Women have d right to divorce from unhappy marriages & they have the right to refuse a marriage long before Western society have accepted it.

Ur statements are referring only to negative stereotypes of Muslims like the Talibans and extreme Muslims and from the many Pakistanis and Arabs u may have encountered in the nation. I'm a Muslim & so is my family but we're not even ragheads. I'm Eurasian. I don't even do any of the things you've said about Muslims. I listen to my sister and my mother, and my dad listens to my mum. In fact the word 'beat' in 4:34 is a misintepretation & it's suppose to mean 'to go away' in Arabic.
