Too right as well! played with a jazz orchaestra recently... And played a strat and an ES-335.. They all preffered the ES-335 for the really deep down blues.. But then the fender strat for sweet stuff..

it's all down to what guitar suits what song...

yeah i play in my school's Jazz Band and i normally use my Arbor AJ144(jazz hollowbody, prolly cheapest jazz guitar on earth lol), but recently the director has been wanting solid-body-sound for a few songs, so ill have to bring my Crate(Strat HSS knockoff), so yeah, different guitar for difffernt sound, not really one better than the other i guess

That is awful. Your tempo is wrong, you play every note with the same beat you need some uniqueness, hold a note out longer...make it your own.

Robert Johnson didn't play it like Clapton, so ya, "Clapton's Crossroads". But then who hasn't done Crossroads? Lets call it AndyKrull's Crossroads just for shits and giggles. But ya Eric Clapton, who called Johnson "the most important blues musician who ever lived" is considered the grandfather of Rock-n-Roll. [wiki]

So all in all, ultimately Johnson should get the credit, and did once you popped in here.

You did get a little "racy" on this one, but you had no backup track, and it WAS a half a year ago, and a lot has changed since then. Your playing itself was right on!
