The fact that he has insurance doesn't prolong his life. It simply means the family will get money when he dies in the crash. No amount of money can buy time - SO BUY THAI INSURANCE!!!
@TheSonOfDumb RIght.. its the end that tells you that this is an insurance, not the Title of the video that says "Thai Insurance CM", you can stop lying now
what the insurance company can do about it?make his dad alive?or just take his money when he need that money for treatment is like begging for his own money..
This hurts so much.. I want to become a musician in my future too, if this ever happens to my family, I will go into super deep depression for the rest of my life.
It's stupid to ask why Americans don't do commercials like this. If you can enjoy something like Jersey Shore, then what you're basically telling TV producers is that you like barbaric entertainment. Do you think a hardcore Jersey Shore fan can appreciate this without all the alcohol and partying? I don't think so. We don't do stuff like this because we show that we aren't interested.
@1danyol1 I guess...you never know when you might go, or what regrets you might leave behind, so at least you should have insurance to leave that behind or...something?
@1danyol1 I saw the CEO's interview before, he said his whole point is actually not for selling the insurance but to build more relationship within a family. Life insurance is something for the loved ones you leave behind but before that time comes, why don't we make the most of our life?
@OhaiPanda Most likely. Think about it, when you get life insurance, you're at a point of your life in which you know it's about to be over. Most people starts looking back and realize their mistakes they've done, and how they should have treasured that time that they did have. Basically this man is saying that since he did not do well with his son, and in the end, thought about all the things he could have done, at least he could do something good for him when he's gone. :'C
@KillerKennyx you don't get the meaning of this video . it say i wish i have more time ... to do something with him . to love and take care him more . overall meaning i wish to do somethings for him at least .
watching this commercial was more life-changing to me than watching James Cameron's Avatar. I mean a minute and a half video is more powerful than a three hour movie.
@JTjason896 What? This has nothing to do with caring for each other or making money or having power. It has to do with relating the commercial to the product, which this failed to do miserably. This was not a commercial. This was a sad, short story with a random logo at the end.
@hotfudgemonday12 Derp you must be skin-deep in meaning then. If you don't know what the short, sad story was trying to imply then you are exactly what JTjason described.
This is very sad, and at that part with the truck it was like..I dunno...I was stunned, I guess is the best word. But.......I smack myself for giggling at how it just came out of NOWHERE. My mom won't buy life insurance because a few other people in my family passed right after they bought some. D;
@kaotic070 i wouldn't be able agree with that statement without insulting you unintentionally since i'm canadian, one of the ultra nice and ultra quiet people :)
Thais are all very poetic. They create the most touching and the most hilarious commercials, movies and everything really. I barely shed a tear for Holywood films, but I'm crying like a dog watching these commercials!
It's about GIVING to your family after you're dead. Basically telling peop;le that they could die at any time and that they should buy insurance, and making them think about the people they love that are gonna be left behind, so they wanna buy insurance for them.
you're all idiots. PLease remove youself from the genepool.
You know you could have had an actual argument there but then you decided to stoop and just remark that we're all idiots and you lost all value in your statement.
Go on and blame others. 4channers are so quick to blame the rest for their own failings, despite clinging desperately to the notion that they aren't a part of any "community" at all.
Grow up. Realize that you aren't the only ones on the internet. Regular people (including adults: you know, those people past 17) use the internet too. Think to yourself, "Am I posting in my usual forum of teens who view themselves on unrealistic self-assuring terms , or am I posting for the world to see?"
...What. Chill, every oldfag knows that 4chan is full of shit now. Calm down, you're not some great minded philosophical asshole. You're a regular one. Thanks for pointing out what everyone knows, that 4chan is now the cesspool of the internet.
How will life insurance give the guy any more time? He'd still die even if he had life insurance. My logic overpowers any emotions I would have while watching this.
It's an advertisement for insurance. Therefore the point is you need to buy the insurance. At what point would having insurance give you more time to spend with your family if you die? Please tell me where I missed the point.
i think you misunderstood my post, i said QFT because the commercial is stupid and doesn't have anything in common with insurance, giving money to your family when you die does not infact = more time.
The way I see it, it was the second part that was a lie, or rather, what he wished had happened, i.e. what he would have done (right this time), if he can relive those years with his son.
Well, after he gets out of that mess I'm sure he'll get the drivers number, then take a taxi to his son's concert, then get the company to pay for repairs and live happily ever after.
A more lyrical translation: "I wish I had more time than this... Time in which I could tell my child : I love him more than anything else in the world. I'd like to use the time to understand him, more than this... I'd like to listen to the things he has to say.. I want to converse with him, and listen to his music, his song. And I want to say I'm sorry... Like I said, I wish I had more time than this.. Time to do the things we haven't yet done.. Time to love, and look over him more than this.."
I can't believe so many people don't think this is totally cheesy, melodramatic and over the top. Gosh, what happened to subtlety and artistic taste in commercials? Yeah, I'm gonna go cut myself, cry, hug a kitten or jump from a bridge watching this smaltz.
Yeah you've obviously never been to Asia lol.. This kind of thing is WAY more common than in the west. People are a little less cynical over there, maybe a bit more naive. Is it a bad thing? I don't think so...
Well if Middle East is still considered Asia the I grew up in Asia, and I know exactly what your talking about. However cheese is cheese, no matter where it comes from. Maybe we Eastern people don't see it because we are so buried so deep in it. But it's not necessarily a good or tasteful thing, just like subtlety is by no means a sign of cynicism. I always thought less is more and sometimes the things you don't say or show are the ones that have the biggest impact.
This is a "hateful" video. =p

is not to "sell insurance" but to create good conscious mind to thai social. Because he believe that when
the whole social is good, all company and organization including to country must be good too. Which is the
real sustainable development.

"I was a bad father, but luckily I had life insurance, so at least you won't starve."
Or maybe "If I had life insurance, I'd be a more attentive driver, and I wouldn't have died."
Life insurance doesn't prevent death...
It's a commercial designed to manipulate emotions and sell a product--life insurance. Period. It's marketing. Not caring. There's a BIG difference.
