Scripture says that women are not to teach, this context is doctrine. The women can teach, with restraints, as the older women can teach the younger to love their husband. I am a girl in highschool and I want to honor God. I am starting a Christian Apollogetics club at my public high school. The question should be "How may I do the will of God?" Not, "Is this one thing I do not right?" Defending a theological system is not what the Lord has called His people to do. How can it include prophesying when 1 Corinthians 11 gives us the rules for women prophesying? I agree with most of what is said here but we must take all the scripture to rightly divide the word of truth.
IF...you are going to do what you claim to be doing, considering "the full counsel" of God's Word...Then you cannot reject the clear commandment for all women to keep silent in the assembly of the saints. This is the First Day Of The Week, when the saints would gather together to take up a collection of the needy saints, and to have the Lord's Supper/Break Bread. This was the time when the sisters were to keep silent and were forbidden to speak. This includes praying outloud and prophesying.
The saints would meet in homes and each day was a devotion in Word and works. There were many opportunities to prophesy amongst brethren....outside of the assembly on The First Day Of The Week. The sisters could prophesy at home with their families, for instance, say Amen, pray outwardly, etc. This would all be under the headship of their husbands, fathers, elder brothers, as we see in this chapter as well. The order must be kept, as it is soundly Biblical. Naturally, today God's Word is not.
The private interpretation of scripture, exegesis, exhortation, teaching, all go along with the commandment of God that women are NOT to teach (outside their own children, the young women in the church family to love their husbands, to obey their husbands, be a good mother, a good wife, faithful in their daily walk, etc.)

So as there seem various possible uses of the word, it seems some of them such as *comfort others*, *praise of the divine counsels*, *declare, a thing which can only be known by divine revelation* (but not in an any authority type position, perhaps such as *beware to go to such and such city as there are great evil men there who wish you harm*.
The sharing of a "word of comfort" may be done under the authority, and in the presence of the woman's husband/father/male authority in Christ. This is not a "public ministry", it is a matter of a quiet personal witness. A good example fo this is with Aquilla and Pricilla "instructing" in the faith "more perfectly". This does not mean the woman was preaching or teaching.
Under the headship authority of her husband she could be present as he instructed. The scriptures do not tell us that the woman even spoke a single word, but that she was with her husband and "they took unto them and expounded unto him" instructed. Acts 18:26.
I also think it can merely mean to simply recite scripture in a group in unison as sometimes groups read a few verses together is probably ok as it is as the whole group.
Otherwise she is fine to read by herself when alone at home with her husband and children.
Obviously the praying part of the verse could not include her praying out loud leading a church service prayer as that would be a leader position over men, so it only could mean her silent prayers in a service.
"Keep Silence In The Church" is KEEPING SILENCE. "Keeping" is maintaining, abiding in....being consistent in. It is not speaking, but being quiet. Paul also says "it is forbidden for them to speak"...FORBIDDEN TO SPEAK....PERIOD. Not a word out loud. This is also in the context of that the women are to be "UNDER OBEDIENCE...AS ALSO SAITH THE LAW..." This is in 1 Corinthians 14, as you know. Hi I am not sure if you have heard but there was a great change in the worldwide church of God about 10 years ago or around there when the old leader died. His son took over and as far as I know got rid of almost every single false teaching so that now it is fairly mainstream in all aspects. There was an offshoot which did not accept the son's changes and they separated from the WCOG but still call themselves some type of Church of God, but they are the SAME as the old WWCOG and still heretics.
They are all heretics, old and new, son and father, and their followings. I hope that does not include you as well. There is a great body of false prophetic teachings from that cesspool of iniquity. All of them must be rejected and declared to be what they are. Half repentance is not enoughl. One quarter is not enough. All must be cast aside and repented of completely. These people are deceiving a great many today with their "modified heretical ways." Heresy is heresy. No leaven is allowed.
Well maybe it has changed again since I first heard about it splitting after the father's death. I heard about the change on the Bible answer man Hanagraff show about 10 years ago and I looked into it. Even Hanagraff said the son's choices totally changed the entire official beliefs, after that large numbers left and started the separate church, but as you said maybe the son went back into it as well. I can't say for certain as it was about 10 years since I last heard their church split.

Jesus is Father, Son, and Holyghost. The fullness of the Godhead is in Him. Are you saved according to Acts 2:38?

Maybe you allow Yeshua/Jesus to be the boss outside of the church, but not inside of it? The "true gospel" is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-7 and it is declared by the apostle Paul. Scripture says that women are not to teach, this context is doctrine. The women can teach, with restraints, as the older women can teach the younger to love their husband. It stands to reason that if a younger woman, including children, is not married, then she needs to learn how to be an obedient sister and daughter, by God's Word. If people would just listen to all FOUR of the videos in this short series it would be very clear what the doctrine of God is regarding women in ministry, teaching, and even in the home (though I only touch on this last subject.) The Bible also says to "be ready to give an answer for the hope that lies within you with love, respect, and kindness. And my foremost intention is to share the gospel. But in our school, it's almost impossible for these kids to hear because they believe in evolution. And if they believe in evolution, then Genisis isn't valid.

IF...you are going to do what you claim to be doing, considering "the full counsel" of God's Word...Then you cannot reject the clear commandment for all women to keep silent in the assembly of the saints. This is the First Day Of The Week, when the saints would gather together to take up a collection of the needy saints, and to have the Lord's Supper/Break Bread. This was the time when the sisters were to keep silent and were forbidden to speak. This includes praying outloud and prophesying.

The saints would meet in homes and each day was a devotion in Word and works. There were many opportunities to prophesy amongst brethren....outside of the assembly on The First Day Of The Week. The sisters could prophesy at home with their families, for instance, say Amen, pray outwardly, etc. This would all be under the headship of their husbands, fathers, elder brothers, as we see in this chapter as well. The order must be kept, as it is soundly Biblical. Naturally, today God's Word is not.

The sharing of a "word of comfort" may be done under the authority, and in the presence of the woman's husband/father/male authority in Christ. This is not a "public ministry", it is a matter of a quiet personal witness. A good example fo this is with Aquilla and Pricilla "instructing" in the faith "more perfectly". This does not mean the woman was preaching or teaching.

I also think it can merely mean to simply recite scripture in a group in unison as sometimes groups read a few verses together is probably ok as it is as the whole group.
Otherwise she is fine to read by herself when alone at home with her husband and children.
Obviously the praying part of the verse could not include her praying out loud leading a church service prayer as that would be a leader position over men, so it only could mean her silent prayers in a service.

"Keep Silence In The Church" is KEEPING SILENCE. "Keeping" is maintaining, abiding in....being consistent in. It is not speaking, but being quiet. Paul also says "it is forbidden for them to speak"...FORBIDDEN TO SPEAK....PERIOD. Not a word out loud. This is also in the context of that the women are to be "UNDER OBEDIENCE...AS ALSO SAITH THE LAW..." This is in 1 Corinthians 14, as you know. All that we are speaking of is covered in the video series above. There is broad scriptural justification.

Hi I am not sure if you have heard but there was a great change in the worldwide church of God about 10 years ago or around there when the old leader died. His son took over and as far as I know got rid of almost every single false teaching so that now it is fairly mainstream in all aspects. There was an offshoot which did not accept the son's changes and they separated from the WCOG but still call themselves some type of Church of God, but they are the SAME as the old WWCOG and still heretics.

I heard about the change on the Bible answer man Hanagraff show about 10 years ago and I looked into it. Even Hanagraff said the son's choices totally changed the entire official beliefs, after that large numbers left and started the separate church, but as you said maybe the son went back into it as well. I can't say for certain as it was about 10 years since I last heard their church split.

Hannegraf is a rank heretic. He is ecumenical and denies the Roman Catholic "chruch" is the WOMAN RIDING THE BEAST in Revelation 17-18. He is a corrupt false brother. He teaches OSAS, once saved always saved. He is also a Pre-trib-rapturist, if my memory serves here. He took over for Walter Martin (CRI) and that organization also denies Catholicism IS THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS and is DRUNKEN ON THE BLOOD OF THE SAINTS. There is no greater heresy, save the denial of Christ as God, and risen.

basically it boils down to this, if we contest with the Word of God, we contest with Him personally, as "all scripture is given by inspiration of God and profitable for doctrine, correction, and instruction in righteousness.." Shaking our fist in God's face is what these people are really doing. They as so jaded that they cannot see it clearly. God sees itjust fine.

No, there should not be women preachers. I agree strongly. But I was just curious about something. You talk about rightfully dividing the Word of God. There is only ONE God. His name is Jesus Christ. Not three, but ONE. Not three as one, but one God operating in three functions with man. Father in creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Ghost as the operating agent in the land today. Jesus is Father, Son, and Holyghost. The fullness of the Godhead is in Him. Are you saved according to Acts 2:38?

The doctrine of the "godhead" (the being of God) is that God is ONE, not three persons. This is the only way to faithfully interpret scripture. God is the ONLY Redeemer, the ONLY Saviour, the ONLY Rock, the ONLY Way, Truth, Life, and THE Resurrection And THE Life, the ONLY Creator. Jesus Christ is HIS "express image" of His Person, His Being, and is "the glory of HIS person". The Father has given authority and preeminence to HIS IMAGE unto the time of the restitution of all things. (Rev 20-22)

Regarding the gospel of the heretical Pentecostal/Oneness variety. Acts 2:38 must be subject to the light of the rest of the New Testament writings. It is not water that saves, but Jesus Christ, and by His Spiritual baptism. All believers are required to be baptized in water and if a believer does not follow Jesus Christ he will not enter the coming kingdom. A man can be saved (born again), then die before water baptism and still go to heaven. If one defies God, he will not. God knows the heart.

Right. I kept what was useful from her statements and when whe drifted into folly....I cut her off. This is a responsibility people should take seriously. We should eliminate folly as much as possible, when within the realm of our respponsibility. This "internet effort" should serve God's purpose of diseminating Truth, not "giving the microphone" to fools and blind. Amen? I am not saying this directly about "joycepoo" so much, but there rae others who continually qualify as such, obviously.

If the Word of God is not rightly divided and rightly applied, at best, it may only APPEAR to justify something that it actually condemns. Error is never justified by the right division of Holy Writ. It is condemend continually. It is all a matter of discernment. Some have it, some do not. The prophet Daniel stated, "the wise shall understand.."
