I love Salvador Dali! I love him so much! His art are....are....exelent! I love ! Salvador is my inspiration, my way. My favoutire art is....e.....everything :))
Salvador Dali is a Genius...he didn't need no Photoship Digital painting eventhough there are awesome Digital Photoshop painting, but still !!! All he needed was a paintbrush... it is perfect the first time through, and dedicates it 100%
Did he sit on a sofa all day watching TV? Hell no...he was passionate about his art, and it's kinda sad that in our modern times we just lay on the couch and no nothing productive with our time to create something.
@EricSchwin22 I am a young artist heavily influenced by Dali, and I completely agree with you. I'm sometimes ashamed to live in this pathetic age, saturated by celebrity obsessed dullards who rely on technology to make life easier. They say that by 2045, computers will be smarter than humans, and that's exactly what WILL happen to this ignorant culture if we don't start using our minds in more creative ways. We need to focus more mass attention on the humanities and less on smart phones, etc
It has been said here that he was superficial. In my opinion, Dali produced some amazing iconic work. However, once he had aquired a name he produced a fair ammount of old tat that was indeed superficial, churned out solely to bring in cash, although I am led to believe that not everything with Dali's signature was painted by him. But lets not forget he was also a sculpter, film maker, jewelry designer and set designer. For all of his faults, he was a great and hugely influential artist.
Hello Distant Mirrors,,so I too, as others are, very interested in the music you used in creating this great video of my favorite artist. Please post this music. FYI as an artist myself it is respectful and required that you acknowledge the works of artists. some of this music sounds like the soundtrack to 'A Beautiful Mind'
If I close my eyes and rub them really hard with my knuckles I can come up with some pretty weird/colorful images that I can't come close to discribing or drawing. Thats about as artistic as I can get.
I once saw a video, where he had a giant shirt attatched to a helicopter from a giant coat hanger. Then he had it flown over a town, while he talked in clicks and pops. I thought to myself in Frazers voice, "now...there's something you don't see everyday." Then I went back to my job hanging mens clothes at Sears.
Dali for me paints dreamscapes, beautiful stream of consciousness images. Of coarse sometimes disturbing images appear too, , , just like the best music, if I'm having a humdrum day this art transports me to somewhere far out of the ordinary.
wow. i don't like the look of art i like the idea but without meaning its nothing, i don't even like my art at all. Salvador Dali is the only artiest that can bring meaning to his art without a description...its just so magnificent and enchanting. it has a relation to the world. in a way i've seen my thoughts in his work. he has brought a piece of anther world to life. ... if u kno wat i mean.
what makes you feel close to it, is the psychological aspect of it..the symbolism and colors along with the guided directions of lines cause you to feel, which gives the impression of connection..
Greatest artist ever? if anyone has any other great inspiring artist could you give me a list of 5. This is by far the greatest art i have ever seen. it has brought tears to my eyes. I never thought images could stimulate my mind so Powerfully.
Ha, ha - Loved that one of Picasso's neo-Roman Godess - with a SAILOR stuck in as her CHAIR! More humour than I have ever seen in public Dali exhibits. Thanks for putting in some of his early work also; shows his development of some later themes.
I saw the Dali exhibit at the Morse Gallery in Beechwood Ohio in the 70's and it was absolutely spectacular. They say Dali painted at eye level and did not back off to see his work til it was finished. The Surrealistic Toreador with the roses of Galas face in them was mind boggling, but then again all of this mans works were mind boggling. He will always be my favorite artist.
Dali's a picture, a man's eye at a lady's pussy, In 2002, German fascists designed according to this picture's sex, added some dirty, evil contents, made many holographic projection images to send to my body, this insulting my mind lasted about 1.5 years.
When I was about 18, I liked Dali's abstract idea very much.
Dali and his work are pure original mad genius! It's as if he could tap into another dimension of our minds unknown to us...whatever gift he had he will forever be my favorite artist. Thanks for the beautiful dedication!
and I'll bet you watched this stoned...like me,haha, seriously, this is probably the most accurate depiction of the sub-conscious out there.Nobody really came close to absolutely shattering the illusion that is our reality, and showing what a wandering thought might visually look like
This is absolutely amazing,I had no idea he had such a massive collection of such a variety of masterpieces, all so original...really awesome, especially since I'm getting into drawing the surrealistic and all
as musicas da arte do savador dali sao bonitos eu imaginem pinturas e cançoes classicas relaxam as obras do savador dali e uma saldade.foi lindo maravilhoso.os quadros sao quadrado e retangalo do quadro de arte de salvador dali.
Thank you so much for putting this on here/making it. Your choice for using music from A Beautiful Mind is very superb!! It fits so well with all of his work. I just saw quiet an exhibition at the Detroit Institute of Art featuring Dali and it was quite a treat! Def. worth every moment. I can't wait to get out to Barcelona and see more!!
In my opinion, Dali has also reached and painted what he found in the darkest and brightest corners of the human sub-conscience mind that are overlooked and ignored by the majority of people. I wonder...how can someone develop a strong imagination like Dali? Sometimes I think that tv, radio, etc. are distracting us from developing our imaginative genius. What do you guys think?
I can recall a popular Children's movie, The Never Ending Story, where the imaginary world called "Fantasia" was ripped apart by this creeping hollowness called "the nothing".
It's almost eerie that that underlying theme so closely mirrors our world today. I look at reality TV, listen to the radio, watch this recent genertion of entertainment "stars", and think to myself how hollow and manufactured it all seems. What happened to imagination?
but you also have to remember that there really isnt a suppressing of the imagination, as everything that exists around that humans have manufactured is the product of some one individual or a groups imagination. bassically we live amungst products of someone's imagination no matter how original because their all original.
@spieler80s If u are genius, nothink can stop you. Every great painter, designer etc... they have they own "universe". The artistic space where artist mind is " thinking" and its developed by hours of trainging... And the talent is what forcing you to developing it.
helloadios12, every time you are in sleep and dreaming, you are living in another world. The study of dreams led to my very keen interest on surrealism.
i saw some of Dali`s works in the MoMA in New York in a special exhibition

Salvador Dali is one of my all time favourite artist. His paintings and films are both surreal and at the same time mesmerising. His work will always live on : )
OMG what an incredible force this guy was. His work can't be explained it lingers in a part of the human soul that is just sensational but in a very dark way. I don't know. I just know that everyone should know who this man was and everyone should see his work. We should learn about him in every school in this country. Hands down. :) Wow!
When i was really young around 5 or 6 I remember picking up a art book my mom had and seeing beautiful landscapes with odd and sometimes even scary depictions of animals and deformed human statues. Well again not to long ago i picked up an art book and saw these landscapes once again and was just so amazed I couldnt stand it. Surreall art puts me in a mood I can not describe.
sorry for the book of a comment haha

surreal art is just so amazing
When i was really young around 5 or 6 I remember picking up a art book my mom had and seeing beautiful landscapes with odd and sometimes even scary depictions of animals and deformed human statues. Well again not to long ago i picked up an art book and saw these landscapes once again and was just so amazed I couldnt stand it. Surreall art puts me in a mood I can not describe.
sorry for the book of a comment haha
thanks for putting this magnificent art on youtube
