I realize this is an old demo, but dang. For only having two knobs this amp sounds pretty amazing. I'm just debating if it has the kind of clean headroom I want...plus I'm kind of a reverb junkie so I don't know if I'd be able to adjust to the lack of...
love your demos (especially the fuzzy ones!). I'm debating between getting the maz18 or CG. Big difference between them? And most importantly; which one takes the FUZZES better??:)
men i was thinking in buying an orange rockeverb 50 for my crunch and lead tones but now i hear tone demos of this amps and really i dont know what to do.. fuck..
Thanks! The ghia is plenty loud for small clubs unmic'd. It's really responsive to tube changes. So you can adjust headroom by swapping in lower gain tubes in V1 and by ordering el-84's with a different rating from reputable tube dealers. The Ghia is by far my favorite Z amp.
hey man, that's a really great tone you've got there. you said you were running the volume about 2:30? i'm thinking about possibly getting a Ghia for myself, what's it like for clean headroom? if i was looking for something for small clubs say. What's the volume like without the Airbrake? is it pretty loud?
if i was wanting to use it for country stuff, you think it'd do the trick?
