  • There is very few accidents like this one where the parachute would be useful.

Most accidents happen during bad weather, no visibility, on landing, crashing in a mountain in the fog... All accidents where such parachute would be useless. Very seldom a plane has a structural failure at high altitude like this one. The parachute saves lives but it is not a solution for all accidents. In fact, very rare accidents happen where the parachute is useful.

  • A great invention. It's my opinion that these devices should be mandatory on all private planes

  • This video is a favorite on Bucharest

  • That chute was useful, maybe all aircraft including airliners should have them..:)

  • Your video is a favorite on Bern

  • This should a must in all aerobatic planes

  • Well I never

  • I guess you guys can push the shuttle it has parachutes!

  • he;s very lucky!!!!!

  • honestly if every ultralight too aerobatic plane had this alot more lives could be saved!!! so what if the plane weighs alittle more.... weigh the difference

    1. add some weight that one day could save my life.

    2. keep up the proformance and die in a brutal plane crash.

witch option would u take.... plz comment

  • its not a f#!king extra the wing is wrong... the extra has a flat wing tip the one in the video is rounded and at :52 there is a wing strut.... plus what extra has that slow of a hamerhead..... besides that, what a good video and amazing pilot skills....

  • Loaded the wings with too much negative G. The chute worked great though!

  • What? No Bill Hempel one wing landing?

  • fortunatamente la tecnologia fa passi da gigante...questa è una tragedia mancata :-)

strano comunque come abbia ceduto l'ala,in questi aereoplani dovrebbero sopportare carichi sia in positivo che in negativo ben superiori...

  • finally a safe plane^^

  • WHY DONT THEY JUST PUT BIG ASS PARACHUTES ON COMMERCIAL PLANES?

  • @spectrum069 small plane: 2000lbs give or take. 300mph tops. about 12 feet long give or take. Airliner: 100tons or more? 600mph give or take... 100 feet long or more... now you see why?

  • @spectrum069 ya put a parachute on an AIRBUS A380 good idea

  • Was it all a publicity stunt to advertise the parachute?

  • All Commercial Planes should have prachutes like this and prevent all these avoidable deaths 200 died 400 died etc

  • @aikins You would need pretty badass parachutes for that.

  • @aikins ...except you're comparing a one man plane that I can push around on ground rather easily with 400 000 pounds airliners. Great idea but engineering wise I think it's a tad difficult.

  • This aircraft is an AMERICAN extra500

  • @trogolodyte1

this aircraft is a Rans S-9 Chaos

  • @trogolodyte1 I think you'll find Extra Aircraft is GERMAN.

  • @trogolodyte1 no it's not it's an argentinian aerobatic team lead by Cesar Falistocco and the pilot on this video is Dino and the plane is an experimental plane it's a rans S10

  • @trogolodyte1 as someone said, if this is indeed an Extra, it would be German... Walter Extra. Google it

  • Wow, and it worked well, and the pilot was waving with the rudder and elevators too I see!

  • Was the wing okay?

  • MADE IN ITALY!

  • rocket chute rocks but . İf pilot really death after safe landing i can say his destiny written when wing loose.

  • Comment removed

  • sadly he didn't make it, the airplane caught on fire before he could leave it...

  • Hijole! That 'chute almost didn't open, the plane was rotating so fast it almost "candled," its lines were getting all twisted around. That was this pilot's lucky day.

  • @OgamiItto70

Actually it opened correctly. Balistic recovery chutes have a ring that slides down the lines to slow down the canopy inflation. If the canopy were to open too quickly the resulting forces on the aircraft and pilot are too great.

  • I was curious about the same thing. The parachute is a fantastic idea...It could easily be done with most aircraft!

  • Chinese don't make aerobatic planes moron...

  • how come all planes dont have parachutes, ?

  • This makes you feel for the people who flew air planes before they had safety switches.

  • Too many negative G's will do that everytime

  • Quite impressive flying! A Micro-Light that pretends to be a Sukhoi, is really on a downward spiral!

  • it's an "ultra light airplane" ... the most people think "ultra light" means something with paragliding or so but this is wrong! There are many kinds of ultra light planes. airplanes with engine (like cessna), gliders and then trikes. i'm a glider pilot, but from normal gliders (difference: normal gliders: 250 kg - 600 kg and ultra light gliders: 102 kg all weights without pilot of course) ... in normal glider we have a parachute for each person, an ultra light for the whole plane with rocket

  • @EragonLea That plane is not is ultralight aircraft. It is a sport aerobatic aircraft.

  • ... That's one way to "eject"...

  • nice usa made

  • @eak848 fuck you

  • @justdontforgetmyname its true... so fuck you

  • why the hell didn't the wes winter plane have this ??? fuck .. he would've easily survived

  • why the most of air crashes happens in airshows ?

  • @homoKaliptus they don't, just that is where people film planes most often.

  • i bet when the pilot touched down he or she was going 'aww damn it, not again!" glad they made it out alive and lived to tell about it

  • @GmanTV123 Plane with parachute: live. Plane without parachute: die. ....Hmmmm... which one to go for...?.... hmmmm.... Moron.

  • I wonder what the pilot was doing- just staring at the slowly approaching ground as he plumeted with the parachute?

  • @mw2snipey haha

  • @GmanTV123 - They're called "ballistic parachutes" and they've been available for light planes for over 20 years. Google for it. If you had ever been an air show and asked around, or picked a magazine about flying, you might know something. And if you asked nicer, maybe somebody would tell what the announcer said. (Hint: it's in Spanish, and I suspect that the "wing loss" was part of the act.

  • i thought he was gonna die. didnt know those had parachutes

  • crazy!!!

  • Sweet timing on the pilots behalf! awesome ejection!

  • Some of these comments I can't believe. Why the hell would the plane have a parachute? Um, did You watch the video - how the chute saved his life? God damn there's some stupid people out there.

  • @nev594 I hear ya man

  • Rofl how random is that the PLANE has a parachute, Ive never seen that. But perhaps that standard issue on stunt-planes, im sure it is.

Pretty cool tho, that parachute saved his life for sure and yet its such a simple thing.

  • IS THE PLANE OKAY?!!

  • @10Kingboy10

    no bitch

  • new kamikaze

  • THATS SAPOST TO HAPEN U ARE STUPID!

  • They bought the chute from Target haha

  • Thank God for spin chutes!

This could have ended real badly

  • he'd be so unlucky if the bit where the parachute is kept breaks off.

  • wow cool paracute

  • Thank God for BRS

  • Wait a minute. Planes have parachutes?

  • @mrzipdisk These days; if you want. Little expensive though but sure hell worth the money.

  • @mrzipdisk only if the pilot sucks

  • Im sure this is a made in china airplane. End of Story.

  • @hindersmeee yea everything made in china is crap!!!! have tryed one of theirs scrue drivers or drill bits! china shdnt be let to export any of their crap made out of tin products

  • This is Rans_S-10_Sakota, made in USA

  • @hindersmeee "Parachute -- Made in USA"

  • fucking idiot, most stunt planes aren't designed to handle negative G's that high...

  • @ApexAurajin Every modern stuntplanes can handle atleast 10G and 10 negative G, the airplane in the video wasnt even close to 10G, know what you are talking about before commenting kid.

  • @JesperA86

How do you know its modern? That thing could be 30 years old for all we know, And if going over the G limit didn't snap the wing off, then what did?

  • @ApexAurajin This is what the pilot said: ""I don't know what happened. I think it was fatigue," he told the site. "I felt an explosion and saw a shadow passing to the side of me -- it was the wing." " That seems accurate since the negative load on the turn before the wing brakes looked much bigger then the turn that actually broke the wing.

  • @ApexAurajin your right, We don'T know anything about that plane. maybe it could'nt handle the reverse "lifting force" on that wing.

  • @DaxInvader The airplane is a RANS S-9 and i stand corrected, it doesnt withstand close to a real aerobatic airplanes negative forces, it only does negative 4G but owners of the plane has said it is nerly impossible to manage negative 4G due to the low throw angle on the elevator (not same throw on negative elevator as positive elevator) he said it probably was fatigue, the plane has removable wings to so maybe the fastening wasnt done properly, he insist that he didnt exceed the G-limits.

  • This is animated right? Because the wing that snaps, snaps in the wrong direction because the lifting force of the wing should make the wing snap towards the ground, not the other way....

  • @JesperA86 then redo your physics class.

  • @DaxInvader Nothing wrong with what i said, idiot

  • @JesperA86 First of all. i didn't call you names. think of the actual forces working at that moment. Either way i don't care what you say. So i'll leave you being an "Idiot" alone.

  • it still catches fire??! That stinks...glad the pilot was ok
