these people who keep shouting "Rabies" are idiots. Racoons are very smart, they will remember for years (!!) where they got/found food. When you see a racoon in daylight, it does NOT have Rabies but is just hungry.

I am living in the country with various racoon families around. Some like each other, some don't. They are all coming to my "free restaurant" (porch, actually) where they are being fed with cat food and sometimes fruits. They know me, they come running when I call them.

coons get a really bad reputation since they're so commonly suceptable to rabies, they are actually very smart animals that when living around humans they actually study us, many of which like the raccoon in this video have learned that some humans are generous with their food and will share with the raccoon, raccoons are also a blessing in disguise as they are a very territorial creature and hate groundhogs!
