RACE BEING CALLED FAIRLY = 1 .Skilled racing = 2. Contributed to success of new Ed track layout = 3. Versus commentators wasn't confused like Toronto fiasco = 5. Enjoyable and funny commentating (their comments on grocery shopping racing and very very low downforce on Oriol Servia dragging rear wing, perfect comedic timing) = ENJOYABLE SHOW FOR THE FANS!
RESULTING
A COMPLETE RACE! Thanks Indycar for addressing the issues brought by Toronto event.
Yknow, the way some of these cars took turn 5, you wonder why some of these drivers are professional. Some of them haven't a clue how to run a road/street course. And stop with the full-course yellows already. Just let them race!
I do like the new layout of this course, but this one is a little too tight in some spots, especially on starts and restarts. Need to be made a little wider for next year.
I am glad most of the drivers seemed to enjoy the Edmonton race from a track point of view. Having Indy Car racing in Canada is a big deal for a lot of racing fans in Canada. I would love to see it expand even more if it were ever possible. Vancover would be an awesome city to have a race in. LOL really any City in Canada I would love to see a race.
So, this race loses 3 million TAXPAYER DOLLARS a year, and the IRL is close to losing a TV contract.
Why the fuck isnt edmonton promoting the IHRA event instead? Since, ya know, that's making enough money for the castrol raceway to afford building an entire goddamn road course. And our taxpayer dollars arent even going towards it!
@nashvilleraidersfan First of all, there is no such thing as the IRL, so it would be nice if you knew what you were talking about. Second of all the Edmonton Indy draws huge crowds and brings worldwide media attention to Edmonton, more then a drag race would.
@nashvilleraidersfan This is IndyCar not F1. Even Sao Paulo mayor said "it's much better to work with IndyCar than F1, with IndyCar we have a very good profit and the money go to the promoters, with F1 all the money go to FOM"

Too bad about sato, Hunter-ray is bad. Sato had a competitive machine in this race.

indycar racing is a lot better than f1. they would never have the top 3 cars together in the last 10 laps in f1.

Man, they don't know how to overtake if the track is not oval. So many dtupid crashes, if more than 2 turns in the track, then it will be a mess. LOL

Looks like Indy learned with F1 how to foul play
