In the first test chamber with the turrets there is a hidden room behind a wall that is pushed out that has "The Cake is Lie" written all over it.And HELP aswell.

no, I tend to take forever in this part of the game because I like to take my time and look around at stuff. I waited around for GlaDOS to finish talking and paused a lot to take in the surroundings, but there's no repercussions to not hurrying.

because this how it is you apply for a testing job and are asined to test a new machine hat makes portals you do the test and then you find out that the robot is evil when you hear the test is over and when u look at the wall it said the cake is a lie

Nah, dude, Black Mesa and Aperture Science were like Coke and Pepsi. They're competitors. According to Opposing Force, Black Mesa was destroyed in a nuclear explosion. Although that doesn't mean they weren't gassed with neurotoxin by a psychotic sarcastic computer as well. Who knows.
