Actually, for the life of the band, Andy and Mick lived in Sydney, but Izzy and Craig lived in Newcastle. The band played many many shows in Newcastle in order to keep the balance fair, so in reality they were an even split Newie and Sydney band.
I've been told that the correct genre is "denim rock" but I'd call em "rock n roll".
2 members does not a newie band make even though id love to claim them they just werent a newie band micks from cronulla and i believe andy from adelaide and they were all based in sydney at the time so i guess they were a sydney band with newie members
These guys were awesome, glad I found this, used to watch these guys back in the day, them and wrecking crew were the two best rock bands around then imo.
We used to see em play at a pub called the Bel Air in Newcastle. One night Izzy opened up my mate Leigh's head with the headstock of his Les Paul... ahhh the good old days.
Yeah...we used to see em,and all that,and they were ok,but prob too yank for sydney.I dunno,something about them was a bit contrived,good muso's and all,but i dunno....just didn't really fly.
Hamilton and Mereweather were home for the Newie boys, Paddington and Drummoyne for the Sydney blokes from memory..
