Love this video. I used part of it in the elementary classroom - I didn't want to include the bang, bang, ahhhh part, so I just showed a segment. It does an excellent job showing what onomatopoeia is, how it is used, and how much information can be portrayed only using onomatopoeia. Thanks for posting this!

Naming sounds like crash is not an onomatopoeia..same for knock...thats not a set of letters to represent the sound that is the action or cause of something. For crash you might jumble letters together like errrrrCrirshk but they dont usually have an onomatopoeia because its hard to represent the sound made...
