Toronto avg about 25-35 murders a year the whole Greater Toronto Area GTA combine is about 35-60.but compare to Jamaica with same population as Toronto 2mil averages1500 murder a year making it murder capital of the world..Toronto is still safe place to raise a family and make a living..the system is design so most of these youth have criminal records from early age which disqualify them from most of good the payin jobs.70% of hustlers do it to pay bills and feed family rest tinks lifes a movie

In the city of Toronto 2005- 80 homicides, 2006- 70, 2007- 86, 2008- 70, 2009- 63, 2010- 60 and in 2011 the lowest recorded since 1986 only 46 homicides. these statistics are in the city of Toronto not including the GTA, your average was way off. Its still a very safe city compared to other large cities.
