  • Emily, I just started subscribing and love all your videos. I'm 58 and since it has been almost 3 years since you uploaded this video I wondered if you could update it with newer products. I went to the Bee Lucious website and most of the products you used are no longer available so a mature look video with products available now would be great! Thank you!

  • FINALLY!!! You should do more for mature women!

  • I love your eye color

  • I know everyone says it so often, but you really do cheer me up.

  • I enjoyed Your Short Clip

  • The eyeshadow pallette has been discontinued. :( Any other suggestions?

  • I would just like to say that I really do hate pink, and I just hate the way pink look's on me

  • I know this video is over a year old, but if you could tell me how you found the bee royal cosmetics that would be great. Is it a line more targeted for mature makeup?

  • You're my new hero! I've just started under NashvilleBeauty and I'm hoping to cultivate an audience of 30+. great job!

  • Emily, thank you, thank you, thank you......us older gals appreciate the tips!

  • I just came across this when I was looking for help with mature hooded eye. I am always amazed how local makeup artist have no clue on how to enhance these type eyes. I love makeup too and I always did my own makeup best but now that I am 55 I feel a little lost coping with the changes. Could you also do something on face and neck exercises?

  • Very nice tutorial! Very practical and perfect for any age category basically.

I think you have a beautiful flawless skin to begin with, wow!

  • Emily you are great!! I like the makeup it's soft, cute and elegant for a day time...thanks!!

  • Can you do makeup for someone like me who is in theyre teens and doesnt like the teen makup styles today and wants to look classy

  • I have a combination of a hooded mature eye, dry eye skin inluding eye, creaping of the skin. I like edgy make up and can seem to get it down

  • check my channel 'kalipaus2' it is all about makeup for women with hooded eyelids. xoxo

  • I love this look. You are a great teacher and I bet a great news anchor woman too. Keep it up. =)

  • A very helpful video for the maturer woman (I'm 42). I am beginning to get some fine lines at the edge of my eyes and mouth. I do use a liquid/cream foundation (max factor age renewing in warm almond) as I have quite dry skin. I have started to use bronzer following your suggestions and it really helps to warm up my face and make me look more youthful. If you do more on mature make up, could you look at lips? Thanks Tracy X

  • do you think you could do a tutorial on how to make green eyes stand out, cause im just starting to wear makeup and i would like to know how to do that. im not to good with putting on makeup yet.

  • I wanna see more hair videos!!

    Thanks.!!

  • I love your videos. Nice look.

  • Thanks for the tips on contouring. I would like to suggest you do a vid on eyebrows. Your brows are good but they could be awesome! I was so afraid to tweeze above the brow but once I did, I realized how much cleaner my overall look became. Thanks again.

  • i loved this video but your voice is so newscaster..i just cant.

  • I think she actually is a news anchor, lol.

  • lol i know.

I dont mean to be rude.

  • lol so what? who cares its better then those girls who go um... well ..so you do this ya thats wayyyy more anoying trust me

  • oh thanksss

  • we both have babyboo in our users LOL

  • thanks

  • Fabulous video - I am 41 and trying to change my look to something more subtle. This was extremely helpful. Thank you for thinking of us 40 plus women.

  • a nice look! ;) thanks for sharing this video with us....I am 45...so it will come in handy

  • To babyboo515, a primer is a base that helps the eyeshadow stay on longer. A face primer does the same for foundation and blush. There are many good ones out there. Revlon makes a good one and it keeps your skin soft. To emilynoel83, I love your videos. You have some really good and helpful ones. Thanks! :)

  • this may sound extremely stupid.. but what exactly is a primer?

  • you use it as an eyeshadow base to lock in colour and make the eyeshadow last longer. there's one you've probably heard of, which is the "urban decay primer potion" it's suppose to be quite good, the only negative is the bottle it comes in - it limits you to the amount of product you get.

  • u look so pretty!...this can be pulled off as a nice everyday look too :)

  • You are so gorgeous Emily! You seem like a genuinely great person and I really appreciate all of your help. Thank you!

  • Love your idea for mature make up enjoy watching all your videos :-)

  • Thank you so much for this video and the great tips. I really do enjoy all your videos.

  • thanks a lot i was in search for a look for work.

How could I add slight color with out being to much....I love teal/turquoise color, but i tend to over do it.

  • *AND* lol the EDM stuff is amazing, LOVE IT

  • What kind of moisturizer would you recommend for 50+? My mom asked me today what kind I thought she should get. I love the more mature looks, even though I'm only 25.

  • Are the eyeshadows soft and pigmented from this company? Thank you for the eye tips on lifting the eye.

  • This is great Emily, perhaps my fav so far, tons of good advise and product recommendation, can't thank you enough, I loooooove your videos

  • Thank you for the video! I think it would be great if you could hear you opinion on skin care for mature aging skin, what products, when & how to use them?

  • I really enjoy your videos, you are so professional. Ever thought of being a teacher? I'm 48 and love the neutral eye look you show here. Gotta get that palette! Thanks Emily, you rock!

  • Great video on how to create the outter V. Thank you Emily.

  • Emily-First you are a beautiful person! Thank you for all of the lessons! I am 33 and my skin has changed since turning 30. I had oily skin that is now dry-I also would love to know how to wear some of the trendy colors in an age appropriate (mommy to 2 boys) way~Thanks for all the help. God Bless!

  • THANK YOU! This series sounds great!

Woot! Woot!! Btw, your skin is gorgeous. I would love to see a tutorial on skincare.

  • Great video Emily, very helpful!

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I'm going to use this when I have job interviews as well as follow up meetings! :)

  • This is the kind of look I wear to work, clean, beautiful, and professional. I'm a Substance Abuse Counselor so I have an image to maintain. I hope you continue doing these series, they're fun and very informative. Thanks Emily

  • I have found that my 44 yr old face loves the Laura Geller Spackel primer it goes on so smooth & deals with any left over flakes that my moisturizer missed it also stops my mineral makeup from sticking to lines & I use the EDM Multi-Intensive Conceler. I use the Laura Geller B&B in fair as a finisher over any mineral makeup I use it really sets everything and it never looks chaulky

  • Is anyone else's Youtube upside down?

  • april fools!

  • I love this look, very pretty indeed. I am not sure I like the mascara though, it looks a bit spider leggy n clumpy. Spider clumps lol. Your lipstick is sooooooo pretty, I wish I could get that brand. Cant wait to see your next vid in the series.

  • My EDM 30+ routine:

~Olive oil -1 dot each cheek and forehead + any dry patches or healing breakout (no nasty crusties this way)

~Moisturizer - ATM Biore - let soak in. Olive oil has a golden tone to it so it also seems to butter smooth my complexion.

    (Neutral Fair)

~ NYX pot concealer (porc) + NYX liquid foundation (pale). A very light application just for minerals to stick to.(Thanks MoonbeamBeauty for this combo tip!) ♥

Blot buff excess with dry tissue.

    Then onto the minerals...

  • Mineral steps:

~ wait to allow the "NYX " melt in.

~ "EDM Pearl Sunlight" inner eye sockets from brow 2 center under eye(avoids crow feet). Stiple/eyeshdw EM kabuki. Allow to absorb/melt in* (* = ATA)

~Neutral Fair "Original Glow EDM" all over. silkiest base . Flat top brush(FT)/Stipple over concealed areas so you dont smear it everywhere.(*ATA)~ layer 2= NF "semi matte" allover/stipple/FT (*ATA)~ layer 3+ NF "matte/full coverage" in center of face only .(*ATA)

    Finishing powder - FIN!

  • I get negatives for sharing? WTF!

  • Beauty - don't worry 'bout it :)

    people r weird..

  • What a great inexpensive choice :)

And Bonus less likely to have any sort of allergic reaction w/the olive oil

  • Such a great idea! I'm in my mid 30s and love makeup still but want to look age appropriate but still cool. Thanks!

  • There are a great couple tips I have used:

-After foundation : Go over with a damp sponge to remove excess

-Soft line smudge shadow works if strait lines look to harsh.

    - Mascara - Brown with a hit of black at the bases looks better on aged skin/hair (pale too) if you want a softer look

    - Always line your lips & go with sheers, creams, and glosses. They make the lip fuller. (btw the e.l.f. studio "prime and plump" thing is nice )

    - If bronzer scares you - LT Matte neutral pink blush all over

  • This is a great idea. I definitely do like to do dramatic makeup (pin up style) but I am in my 30's and I know that it is a bit aging for 'every day'. There are lots of things you can do to young it up and you really have a good grasp on that.

  • im pretty sure that consealer is discontinued. they do have a maybelline age rewind double endedone now. one end is a under eye brightener and the other is a consealer. thanks for the video

  • Gorgeous as usual, a very polished and professional look - and i'm jealous of your flawless skin!

great idea to do this series, please continue! :)

  • I HAVE to get that Sunday Brunch!!! I love my EDM! I feel like SB is kinda a darker shade of Apple with more peachy undertones. I love me some EDM blushes!! This look is just stunning, Emily!! I'm wild about it! Favorited!

    xoxoxoxoxo

    luv,

    jessie

  • YAY!! For the ladies in the house!! Thanks for this, Emily! This look is amazing! I'ma try this one out.

    xoxoxox

    luv,

    jessie

  • Beautiful!

  • Emily, I'm glad you showed us how you apply your Everyday Minerals. I've been wanting to buy myself the kit, and I'm glad I was able to see how easily it applies! Now I just have to wait for my tax return! :D

  • I think this is great, i was just thinking that i want to start doing my moms makeup.

  • I forgot to mention that I would like to see more tips on how to diffuse the look of aging. I just turned 20 myself, but would love to mimic these tutorials on my mom. Thanks!

  • i love your vids!!

  • i love all of your tutorials! you are so amusing. keep it up!! =D

  • Love the look and loooooooooove Bee Luscious!!! Thank you, Emily! I've decided to get that palette, thanks to this!

    Teri

  • you don't necessarily have to do a video on this, but i've been curious as to what makeup you wore during college and when you were cheering.

  • oooh! good one!

  • Great tip about lifting the eyes!!!!

  • I love this look, and I'm no-where near 40! I'm really low maintenance, so I'll tend to just throw on foundation and lip gloss for everyday stuff. Maybe a really quick monochrome eye, too.

  • Thank you so much for this video!

I love all of your looks but tend to lean towards the more neutral "low key" kind of looks. I find a lot of people that do makeup videos on youtube do really bright and dramatic looks which I don't see myself wearing. I do love makeup but I like the more natural, neutral looks.

I watch several people here on youtube that do makeup videos and you are my favourite! Keep up the great videos, I am really enjoying them!

  • no disrespect or anything inappropriate....but ur voice reminds me of Sarah Palin's

  • haha, its only disrespectful if she doesn't like her..hahaha! It does remind me of her tho!

  • I tend to like a slightly more dramatic look. I do mean slightly. Can you help? I am in my sixties. The look you did is beautiful. I find the bee lucious products too pricey for me.

  • This is a great look for those of us over 40, well over 50! I'd like to see a look appropriate for us in brighter colors and even maybe some shimmer. I not only have blue circles under the eye (veins) but fat pads. Any tips on how I can better conceal them? Right now I concentrate concealer on the blue area only using a brush. Thanks! You are so lovely and classy!

  • I really like your vedios thay have help me alot with my make up ;-)

  • thanks for doing this emily!

  • Emily: This is super. I so appreciate you doing this. Always on the hunt for work appropriate looks. This is so fresh. Love it. Thx a bunch!!. L-

  • I love it. :] Classy. But I wouldn't do the berry stained lips...the eyes look amazing though.

  • pretty:)

  • great video!!!
