  • i expected a basss line to come from it when the video started CHHHHOOO CHOO CHOOOO CHOOO CHA CHOO CHOO CHOO CHA CHOO CHOO BOOM BOOOM BOOM LOL

  • That things almost as much of a dirty bitch to get started as my 93 is lol. I think I have an air intrusion problem though.

  • Darn, where I live your vehicle has to be 25 years old to not have to be emission inspected.

  • oh you should have heard mine at sunriver we forgot to plug it in and it was 3 degrees out, it was ROUGH :-D nice video

  • diesels are like me whens its cold. They just don't want to get out of bed. And if you make 'em get out of bed, they are grumpy for a while.

  • Good camera view! I like the way the exhaust looks coming out of the tailpipe.....cool! :)

  • good ol runnin powerstroke

  • Powerstrock? LOL if this was a powerstrock it would have started a lot easier.

  • next time you fill up, give it a double dose of Marvel Mystery Oil in the fuel, that might help clear out your injectors for better starts and smoother cold running as well.

  • Nah to late for that there going to be all changed in a few weeks.

  • kool

  • how did this thing pass the emissions test!!!LOL

  • It doesn't smoke ones it's running lol or when the engine it warm.

  • in my state there isn't a strict emissions test on vehicles this old, just a check to make sure they have smog pump, EGR valve, etc. doesn't matter if they got smoky exhaust lol

  • Yeah here if your vehicle is older then 20 years old you don't need an E-test.

  • thank goodness for that if they had one of them my truck would be illegal when you stomp on that louud petal she pours black smoke haha gotta love that diesel smoke!!

  • Accually Black smoke on a diesel is very normal they can't take it off the road because of black smoke what the E-test are for is if it burns oil That's bad for pollution, I have a video on here of the motorhome going up a hill it's called "1987 Ford E350 6.9 IDI Diesel going up hill" and if you see it theres a whole bunch of black smoke commin out and that old motorhome always past it's E-tests no problem.

  • see you learn somethin everyday im new to diesels in trucks

  • That's ok I had to learn all of this to and i'm still learning :)

  • theyre running emissions on diesels where you are?

  • Yup. they have been for while now too. On ALL vehicles newer then 20 years old.

  • thats crazy, not that it would make any difference for my truck if that happened here too, but just the thought is weird

  • Anything for money.

  • Cool I liked it!

  • Glad you did :)

  • Nice. You ever try givin it just a little bit of throttle when you're starting it? Idk if that would do anything or not on a diesel set up like this. I am most familiar with diesel tractors that are mechanically injected and if you give it a little throttle it will fire up a little quicker. Some even have a injector timing retarder cable for starting up better

  • Yeah it does say in the owners manuel to hold the throttle down half way but my batteries are starting to get pretty weak and plus the old injectors it has on it need to be changed, that will make a big difference for cold starting.

  • yeah

  • PLUS, he LIKES it that way :P

  • LOL I'm sure the starter doesn't.

  • Yeah, they sure do last forever but these old Diesels HATE the cold.

  • DITTO :)

  • She'll start no matter what :) Gotta love it!!!

  • YAY a cold start, lets go, hop in there, get your hand on the stick, and start the crank and wank :P Oh oh, she's going to start, see the black smoke? Dam dude, I am so glad it started but I say its time go get yourself new injectors. They cost 40 dollars a pop don't they? Thanks for sharing!

    Peace :)
