I think, sexual education should be taught as soon as possible for childrens, specially for girls, because in case of pregnancy they are the most harmed
and stop passing the idea for kids that sex is a demon thing or it is bad or it is dirty. this only get things worst in human mind
New study shows abstinence works...at least for this data group.
"Two years later, about one-third of abstinence-only students said theyd had sex since the classes ended, versus nearly half — about 49 percent — in each of the other three groups."
"Abstinence ed, minus the morals, may work", MSNBC, 2/1/10 .
One more thing, what about Foreplay, Afterplay, Intimacy, Love, Caressing, Kissing, Hugging, Fetishes, the different places you can have sex and the difference between sex, fucking, and making love, breast sizes, positions, diseases, CUDDLING, penis sizes, stereotypes, the psychological aspects involved with sex in general, vaginal dryness, vaginismus, arousal, and so much more other things...All of those and probably anything you can think of, if it's in life, then it's in your "SEX" life too!
Another thing, why is it that parents seem to not know ANYTHING about sexuality yet some children are more knowledgeable on the subject than them and even the CHILDREN don't understand?! Because no one takes the time to teach ALL of the objects or better yet, to teach themselves! Fuck SAFETY! Fuck Abstinence! They are going to have sex regardless unless you teach them all the beautiful aspects of sex as well as the somewhat negatives!
Finally! So there are people much like myself **God bless individuality**
You are on the right track but it's not necessary to include the "facts" or statistics surrounding pregnancy, abortion, and etc...Sex should be taught as EARLY as possible but evidently no one seems to understand that by properly teaching children about sexuality and nature's way will not make their children sex addicts, rather, will prevent them from making wrong decisions
states that have abstinence only education have the highest rates of teen births and stds. European countries where they have federally mandated sex education/relationship courses have the lowest rate of teen births, stds, and typically start having sex later than Americans do. The fact is that sex and relationships are more an integral part of our lives than English, math, or history, kids need to be prepared for life. Sex education doesn't promote sex, it promotes knowledge.
Thank you for speaking on this issue! We need better sex education in the US. Most adults have little knowledge about their bodies, sexuality and sexual relations. It translates into unwanted pregnancies, sti's and unsatisfactory sex lives. Thanks again!!!
I think you're wrong - abstinence-only sex ed SHOULD be provided. But it should be provided in tandem with other approaches (i.e. here's the facts, here's what people do, here's what the majority of your community think, and here's what the evangelicals think). Just change the message to include abstinence AFTER MARRIAGE. In one generation, the evangelical problem is solved. Everyone else knows better.
I think you missed the point of abstinence only, IE that it should not be taught in tendem with anything (otherwise it would not be abstinence only). otherwise breeding the evangelicals out of existence by denying them any sex would be amusing if they would actually follow it.
Exactly! My school was doing that, only this was the last year for that. My state's legislature passed a law saying that if a school is going to teach abstinence, then they HAVE to teach safe sex. It's sad when schools are going for the "ignorance is bliss" way of teaching an important factor of life.
I agree, being totally up front and honest in Sex education is the wisest thing. Abstinence can be discussed, but just because it's discussed doesn't mean all the teens will choose that path. Knowledge of Safe Sex is one of the best pearls of wisdom to share.

"abstinence-only" means nothing but absinence.
Absitnance plus Contraception and std education.
You have totaly missunderstood the meaning.

Can't agree more. It's terrible that religion has done this, this...thing. I would never have believed it could happen twenty years ago.

Hi. I totally agree with your concerns and I hope that abstinence only NEVER comes to Canada. Its very scary how the religious right is taking over.
