Why can't we take desert tracts of land= CHEAP! i just want to say that america is trying to fix the problems they began with the industrial revolution which caused all of this caos i think that it is possible to solve it but it would take years, decades, or even 50 fifty years . hopefully we will finally come out with a solution to this problem

Ah. First of all, the industrial revolution was not started in US. It was started in Britain and remainned more powerful in Britain. So america alone di not "cause all this caos" It then spread all over the world which is how countries like Japan became industrialized. What about the dustbowls in the 30's and some of the recent coldest winters in history.
