We have a real problem with "Recyclers" in the UK.Everything made of metal, even if its bolted down gets stolen.Manhole covers, electrical cabling, old cars (usualy someones wanted property) and items of historical interest, all get stolen and end up in the local scrapyard.I'm all for keeping the environment tidy only it offers big opportunities for the criminal fraternity and the gypsies. It pisses me off when you get people wandering onto your proprty looking for "scrap" to steal.
@silver760 Oh I have heard of a story where metals from a church roof were stolen, and stories similar! The same happens here but, a little less grandiose; copper piping from plumbing, or even house frames stolen right under their noses.
Looks like you are doing it right!! We had an old camper behind our house (in Maine), and my boyfriend busted it up using his Jeep to tug at is from every direction. Hmm, that was 2 years ago and some of the mess is still out there. I say : DO It Right the FIRST time!!! Looks like you are!
