PTW vs MARUI

OK maybe 5 years ago Marui was the best, but the price you pay getting a Marui full metal/firing 420-450 fps reliably is close to the same price you would pay for a PTW - which is already good to go. So if budget is no problem, based off of this evidence you still have interchangeable cylinders as well as an ECU going for the PTW. I'm not even a fan of the PTW's but comparing these 2 brands is like comparing a Ferrari to an insanely suped-up Civic.

systema is the best airsoft company because they are like farrari and put the best materials in there products and shit like that, marui is like mercedies because it's so inavative and PTW's would not be here without them, granted that tokyo marui also put in good parts, personally i buy tokyo marui because what they have the best sellection of all the airsoft brands.

I think if or when PTWs invent their own recoil shock range they may take the win in this arms race. TM cheaper and more upgradable, but PTWs are better out of the box.

I would never buy a systema....they for 1 have quite a few problems. 2 when they have these problems (like the ECU in em) it can cost anywhere from 50-300 bucks just for 1 fix. i would rather spend 400 on an aeg.. upgrade it for another 300 and do normal maintenence than have a systema...just my 2 cents though

they use the Systema as its the most realistic, and the military version is the most reliable you can get. and Systema's cost over $1000, a marui only costs up to about $500. th one in the vid was about $250. the marui's also alot more durable than the civilian systema, and every other AEG out there (there are stock maruis floating around from the early nineties).

actually....they are cap firing model guns. look up companies like MGC (model gun company) for more information on these fun shell ejecting model guns.

the difference between those and blank firing guns? These are relatively low powered and not loud enough to make your ears bleed when fired indoors or without hearing protection.

the TM guns are really reliable, and good internals, but the PTW have great body mech, the best internals, and easy to disassemble. for my choice, i would get the TM because thay are cheaper then the PTW and also, you can upgrade any brand of internals and body. (that is for my opinion...)

The point of a PTW though is that you don`t have to touch ANYTHING, except maybe a tightbore barrel. A TM fully upgraded might not cost as much but it won`t compare.

based on my experience, i would more likely to choose systema ptw over tokio marui. systema has a lot heavier rigidity, and it is more like a real gun so it is easier to use for me. most tokio marui guns are plastic and bbs fly agnoizingly slow. however, i would have to say tokyo marui hop up is great. and i would love it if systema ptw rifles were a bit cheaper..

Right, but I was surprised how well the TM did, those wernt too bad groupings if it were completely stocked. That was a good distance and the bbs did lodge themselves into the cardboard.

well i wasnt too suprised, tm makes one of the most consistant running aegs on the market with excellent hopup and very good stock barrels for the price. systema barrels are not so good. it makes perfect sense to me. though the tm m4a1s biggest flaw is the plastic body, the barrel wobble and the crappy hopup unit. then again all airsoft m4s are plagued with some major design flaw.

i think the vfc scar vs the ptw would have been a more fair test.
