Does it matter? He's worn skirts also. And besides, it's not like this is anything new.. He's had this 'style' for around a year now. Though he's been the one most prone to changing his looks in the bands history.. All that matters is that he feels comfortable and himself, and it doesn't certainly look comfy, and I've always liked it. All I know is that he has his own Designer, for skirts/dresses/shirts. As he's stated in a Member Diary.

@THEREALMOSH2 Of course, when they play one-man they have their own technicians working with them, and they can also adjust their setlist for DIR EN GREY fans which allows them to pick "better" songs. When they play at festivals, as Wacken it's the Wacken technicians that handles everything and they have to adjust the setlist to a wider audience since it's a festival.

@Jaitara It was recorded with an iPhone 4 (which shoots in HD) and I shot it from maybe 3rd - 4th row, that's why it's so shaky at some points. And I didn't have to zoom because I was pretty close.
