in the Cd's linear notes, i read about how this song was conceived and put together, the research that went into it. Even the Jones Girls were amazed that it came off without a hitch. This song takes me on a fantastic journey beyond time an space to a distant time an place. Here in D.C. it is a staple on W.H.U.R.-Howard University's Quiet Storm.
This song has been a favorite of mine since it hit the charts. It is so mystical, smooth ... for some reason I feel melancholy when I listen to it. LOVE it.
Sad how todays musical morons made millions over millions, while great composers such as DGWANSEL OR G CLINTON WHO ARE THE MODERN EQUIVALENTS OF BEETHOVEN MOZART AND BACH managed to do well, man u guys deserve way more sorry for blowin the smoke up your asses, i like todays music but when i hear this stuff with todays audio enhancement technologies it blows me away! the ambience in the background, strings just swelling from low to a high climaxx the music is so picturesqe ahhh, ahhh!!!!
Hello SuperFunkDoctor. I want to thank you for this great sounding posting of a song Cynthia Biggs wrote together. We wrote it for one of my albums, but Kenny Gamble placed it with the 'The Jones Girls' The rhythm section you hear are me on all keys and synths, Roy Smith on bass and guitar, and Mark Douberman on drums. I wrote the string arrangement. The thing about Cynthia is that she is a a believer in empirical data. My belief, that's what makes this song so timeless.
@dgwansel Brother, You Are Supernaturally Dope!!! Thanks For Blessing Us With This Universal Sound. This Is Definitely The Sounds Of The Neteraat (Gods And Goddesses).

@dgwansel this is some tough stuff right here, Bro. You guys made awesome music back then. I always thought this was a Patrice Rushen production.
