Alim Qasimov is the World's number one Mugam singer! the persian singers (shajarian) can not fly in his zone! I have a CD form Alim when he sings with his own daughter and I love that CD!

I think you are wrong. This is completely Azerbaijani music. I am an musician who knows both Iranian and Azerbaiajnai music, Mugam and classic. I have to say that there is not any Iranian(Persian) classic, but they have Mugam(Dastgah) music similar to what you hear here.

of course they sound similar. As I said both have almost similar Mugam music with some differences. any way, it is nice talking you. Well, read about Alim. He is outstanding singer.

zozojan: for you anything in the world resembles persian!!!! even the best carpet of world that is made in Tabriz and by Turkish people is persian!!! you know we heard enough of these ball shits... get a life and culture that is realy yours, you maybe can find true persian culture in Afghanistan or Tajikestan where their people speaks farsi not in Azerbaijan or Turkey! look at East not West!
