Hmm you can tune with any note, as long as the strings are tuned in 1st,4th,8th(this song tuning) or 1st,4th,7th and 1st,5th,8th (for example C-F-C, C-F-B and C-G-C)

the pick is called bachi and it is shamisen's exclusive pick, hehe

Dude Miavi, male Shamisen players dont sing. It's a thing, like in China and Europe, Men played women in plays. Like this, men dont sing while they play the Shamisen.
