Excellent booth review - I am super excited about the Cryo, the knockout and everything else looks cool too. Great job with the video and presentation.
You caught that huh? That battle wound was from about an hour earlier. Cut by a ZT 0560 I spun too fast in my hand. I didn't feel a thing! It filleted a chunk off and bled through 4 bandaids before it stopped. Sharp knife! I wear it proud :0)
I love Kershaw but I'm disappointed in these offerings. The knockout looked good until she flipped it over...I hate frame locks. If it had G10 on both sides it would sweet. Same with the Hinderer model why Kershaw why??? Love the Echelon except for the hideous natural G10. Will be looking at other brands...disappointed in Kershaw.
I was very excited about the Echelon last year but I'm a bit disappointed that they switched the handle color to a much less translucent G10. With the prototype pictures it was VERY easy to see the inner workings of the knife (speedsafe, lock, etc). Not so much with this G-10. Was it the camera that had trouble picking up the colors? If not, I'm afraid this is off my To-Buy list.
On the forums people seem to really dig the Echelon. I don't get it. It's one of the ugliest knives I have ever seen. I am diggin the Knockout though.
She's really cool and knows her gear. Not just a memorized script.
Kershaw's real fortunate. I use a Kershaw right now, wish it was serrated. I work outdoors and I don't understand those who say that serrations aren't necessary. I prefer the Griptilian, but it's too expensive and I've lost 2 already.
Well, I can say from experience that serrated blade are horrific for wood working and other outdoor camping tasks, that's not to say that it's a bad thing for people who cut alot of rope or other synthetic materials, but I have found a straight edge can cut just as well when treated with care.
@DocGDubs yup this week, a couple hundred.

Great review. Good Job Jennifer: the best vendor presentation that I've heard on you-tube. I want the Rick Hinderer one!

Looks like Kershaw's on track for an interesting 2012. I really dig the stainless Hinderer.

i hate assisted openers. illegal in my state. also, a good, smooth regular opening blade opens very quickly

That Hinderer model is sweet! What steel is it? The Chinese stuff?
