There's a portrait of the young Victoria by an artist who knew what he was doing. He had her tilt her head back to play up her best features (eyes, skin, hair) and play down her poor ones (long nose, weak chin).

I like the description of young Victoria as "reasonably pretty." It's a perfectly fair assessment, as her appearance had its strengths and weaknesses, as most people's do. I appreciate men who make allowances for imperfections in attractiveness.
