I know nobody was paying attention to the video (I'm looking at you RP bloggers), but I'm glad that republicans are talking about vouchers and charter schools. People who care about education should research these concepts. Even socialist Europe has more school choice than we do.

Socialism is not about forming distended governments but putting basic factors of supply into public hands and in capitalism that is the state.

If we were to implement socialism we would abolish the state and have the people rule themselves.

Socialism is about redistribution of wealth. That may work in small groups and communities where everyone is a willing participant. In a large, diverse country like the US it would take a large government to redistribute wealth. There is no incentive to work hard or improve without competition. There is no "goodwill" in forced charity. What is the incentive to work, if you could just live off government assistance. Remember the more the government can give you, the more it can take away.

you're right especially the argument about heterogenous countries as the US is totally correct, that is also one among many reasons the socialist attempt in Russia resulted in Despotism. Yet I think the idea of socialism is not yet dead especially when considering how many parts of the world remain underdeveloped and have just recently begun to industrialise (China,India, etc.). ron paul donations more than what his campaign did as a record breaking $4,300,00 million dollars. he is around $4,475,528.40 million dollars. we will past $5,000,000 million dollars before the night is over. the media should feel ashamed for not giving ron paul enough attention on tv as he deserves. look at how much he is making and not working as hard as his competitors to get the donations they need.

You are right he is a great speaker, I would say the best up there if Alan Keyes did not come in, but that doesn't mean Romney has the best views. IMO the man is such a great speaker he comes of as a fake. When asked a question in this particular debate, he seems to be touching on many different points just to please everyone, and at the same time avoiding the main question that is asked. The guy is just an obvious robot.

Actually, I didn't vote in 01, and I voted for Nader last time. I just think the robot argument is stupid. They all have to be robots that do whatever the people want. Campaign commercials and expenses should be free and they should give all this campaign donation money to offset our jillion dollar deficit. I like Ron Paul's ideas too. I just do not think he could beat a democrat.

I was amazed when I found out that high school had changed from the days when I was there, my daughter had six subjects of education per semester the thing that shocked me was she only had to attend each subject twice a week when I was in high school we started at 8 am and ended the day at 3 pm and we attended all 6 subjects everyday. I meet resent grads that took automotive in school and pass with A's and B's but they don't know how to change a spark plug.
