how come when i play the mouse is very slidy and when i stop moving the mouse the crosshair keeps moving

I love finding videos like this showing games that stray from the normal game experience of today and try something new, though I think its cool it could be better with some added features.

Adding elements that make the player want to hurry to the top would either be a nice extra to this play mode or could be added as a proper feature such as a clock, scores, points, enemies, time bonuses and even some different block types that could either be an advantage or disadvantage to the player.
