Hey Luke, have a friend trying to sell a US ps2 with something like 25+ games in Japan, Hard-off only offered about 1000 yen or so. Know of any other places he could try to sell this for a few bucks? I know he posted it in a site called Metropolis?? Not sure how much of a market there is there for US items. Thanks for another great vid.
Nice pick ups! Funny, I was out for the count the last week and a half. I even went to the midnight release of Uncharted 3 AND I even filmed the unboxing, lolol, groggy and all. Weird, my brother & a couple of friends and now my wife is under the weather. All lost their voices just like I did too. Crazy. Feel better, Luke! Peaceout.
Only the Batman Carts look that bad ass :) Sorry for your flu man, seems like you are doing a little better!! You are only missing 3 Neo Geo games? Awesome!!
Awesome pickups too, that batman is weird looking. Hey speaking of famicoms, do you run across many famiclone controllers? I need some w/ DB9 connections for my GameAxe. Got any advice?
Luke, I could have sworn I saw a couple of bridged solder joints such as in 3:14 and 3:26. Maybe that could be why you are having a black screen? Just wondering if you notices those.
@alak58 Ah, thanks for pointing that out. I wasn't sure if it was legit because the cartridge's plastic a bit looked cheaper and the case's cover image looked stretched..
man that board looks tough to fix... I would have though golden tee would be an easy board to get on the cheap... maybe if you find another broken one you can cannibalize the two to make a single working one.
Wow , the prices of AES carts just keep on getting higher and higher! Even MagicianLord used to go for about $40 is now nearing the $100 mark! Also, Star Soldier, isn't that series originally on the pc engine? Anywho, glad youre feeling better Luke, was getting a bit worried there for a while. Rest up big guy! All the best.
Damn everybody's been getting sick lately, a friend of mine lost her voice for while. Nice to hear you got some help with Golden Tee, looks like a tough nut to crack. The Batman is cute, surprised you never came across those Sunsoft variants before. Nice Neo Geo pickups, $270 woah too rich for my blood. Hope you get well soon. :)
Nice pickups there Luke, I was on Ebay the other night debating on the huge expense of getting an AES sent over here but this video kinda tells me to not be so cheap and get one already.
Wow Luke, nice pickups! On a little bit of a shooter kick huh? That insert for Sonic Wings 2 is awesome, one of my favorite shooters on the Neo too. A Japanese copy of Viewpoint doesn't show up that often and yours looks to be in excellent condition. Great game and very challenging too. Ah Batman for the Mega Drive, one I've been meaning to pickup. I love those small Sunsoft cases and cart shells, very different stuff. Hope you feel better soon man!
AES games can be pretty pricey ... haven't bought a pricey one in a while. Last game I got was Samurai Spirits complete for no more than 250 yen(like $2) at Gamers in Akihabara. I was totally blown away by this considering how much they cost on ebay.($30)
Awesome video man. Hope u feel better. Btw I just got another arcade machine a original Mario bros and I found out why it wasn't working there were a few broken sodering points on the board I fixed but now that it's up while I play it the monitor does a snap sound every 3 to 5 mins while playing any suggestions? It was a steal of a pick up. And only took a day to clean up. Anyways get better and add more vids :)
Hey Luke man sorry to hear that your not feeling to good, it's shit that init. Man that board I sent you looks awesome already. Could see from your video that it still got them two rusty resistors on there could that be a problem for the board? Also forgot to say that I noticed a track on the board was cut or damaged on the back, you might wana check for that aswell bro, think it's somewhere in the middle.
Get well soon brother! Good to hear from you. You are on the right track troubleshooting that Golden Tee, but it's probably not worth too much effort hehe. These things are worth $10 working, and you need a trackball to play it.
I think that's the first time I've seen a Japanese Mega Drive case that was backwards :D

Great pick ups...every one of them. Quality over quantity ....I love the way the Batman game looks too.
Is Batman popular in Japan at all?? There is that PC Engine Batman that never got ported.

If you're about to reprogram the EPROMS then it is better to get new ones and try to put this data from old to new ones.

That Batman cart looks really nice. It looks like different type of label than what I normally see.

Back in the day View Point was the holy grail of Neo Geo games in the UK.
In fact the PAL version is rarer than Metal Slug.
