The point of the non-aggression principle is not the idealistic hope that all human beings will adopt it and behave perfectly according to it, only that those who have can properly identify what kinds of actions are and are not moral and justifiable. The point is only that: if some people are prone to use aggression as a means to an end, is it acceptable for others to do so as well? In other words, can we point guns at people to force them to give us what we want because others may also do that.

I don't see how any race could be more violent then the other...I am no scientist, but if it is not hereditary, then these behaviors are based on that races environment... no? The argument is through empirical and logical thinking.. anyone has the potential to be intelligent regardless of race. This is way Stef and others have critical views on things that indoctrinate children whether it is the state..schools.. or the church.. or the family.

Violence is a tool, that humans use like all other tools. Aside from psychopaths, human beings are not fundamentally violent, but they understand that violence can be used.

Stef does acknowledge that much.. but to assume that violence is the nature of human beings is to say all humans are psychopaths.

"The Century of Self." That was a good series, long as hell (4 hrs.) but captivating, thanks for the recommendation. I think that we are both; we all want a good life and want to be left alone but yet we can so easily kill one another. It would be nice if we could solve this paradox of the human condition and sometimes I'm optimistic that we can while at other times I don't give us the slightest chance in hell.
