A KO is when a guy is down for 10 seconds, usually because he has been knocked unconscious. A TKO is when a guy goes down 3 times in a round, when a ref or doctor intervenes (RSF/RSC), or when the loser is outclassed (losing by 15 or more points in a scored bout) but in most cases, has not lost consciousness.
