Experts Baffled by Increase in Sick Pelicans

i don't know who to communicate this to, but i don't think that the theories behind the deaths are accurate. Last year, I saw close to 500 dead pelicans on a SINGLE beach in southern Baja. There were lots of other dead birds, but pelicans were the most numerous. There weren't any big storms down there, so i don't think the storms are responsible. there is a serious illness affecting them.

IBRRC at Cordelia also has many sick Brown Pelicans, both adults and juveniles. All are receiving excellent care, and we hope they will recover and be released back to the wild. Some came in with USFWS bands and have been our patients in the past. San Pedro is our sister IBRRC facility.

I just hate it how there are gas and pollution everywhere! I dont believe the world will end at 2012, I just think it might be a bad place unless a genius makes an invention for everything! I think Pelicans are getting effected by smoke, gas, and oil that is in the water with fish.
