  • This is not a fake, its accurately put together to represent the oppositions side and shows what we home Childcare providers ( no employer or employees involved) have experienced from the union. I am a democrat, not anti-union and not corporate America, I just want to keep my home business, of just me, free of union representation. I'm tired of this issue being so political, I'm sick of being called a tea-bagger, right-wing, constitutionalist... I'm a common sensist . I sat through this 3 hour

  • So my point is, there are some legit unions out there which protect there workers. Just dont get fixated on the ones that abuse their own powers.

  • Once in a meeting as an legal aide to the acquisitions section of a fortune 100 company. Talk went from how to lower cost after a merger with a smaller company went through the legal tape. At the end of a long discussion,

[Senior chair] says, " Well we can try and give them [refereeing to employees of merged company] a 35% pay cut, but mask it with some reduced benefits, right? ".

[Division officer] " No we cant, they are unionized."

[Senior chair] Huh, thought'd I try that one, oh well...

  • I AM NOT HAPPY WITH WALL STREET BUT I REALLY FEAR WHAT THE UNIONS CAN AND WILL DO IF GIVEN THE CHANCE. JUST LOOK AT WHAT THEY HAVE DONE SO FAR.

FOR THE FIRST TIME WE HAVE A PRESIDENT THAT HAS HIS OWN PERSONAL ARMY AND HE HAS KNOW PROBLEM SICKING THEM ON THE REST OF US. HOW DID AMERICA LET THIS HAPPEN???????

  • A retired Chicago labor leader secured a $158,000 public pension — roughly five times greater than what a typical retired public-service worker in the Windy City receives — after being rehired for just one day of active duty on the city payroll, local news reports said.

According to The Chicago Tribune, Dennis Gannon stands to collect approximately $5 million in city pension funds during his lifetime. He now draws the pension while working for a hedge fund, the Tribune reported.

  • Wow I just watch a show "American Greed." These unions remind me of the Mafia. This is scary stuff.

    "In God we Still Trust."

  • Unions are going by the wayside........

  • Yes well all you misinformed folks keep letting Corporate America rule you and see what it gets you. I hope you studied your Medieval history as you'll get to experience serfdom firsthand. Enjoy!

  • @juliekfournier people will wake up. fox news is making it tough, but they'll get it one day. business people will always scare people into hating unions. if theyre ever gone WE ARE FUCKED

  • corporations rule the usa

  • You people should really get information about unions. It is important for workers to have rights because where we are going now is lower wages for more work. We are competing against slave wages and that will make our wages go down. So, yes, unions might make goods and services more expensive, but I would gladly pay more for a country with a middle class. Unions prevent people from being paid 2.00 and hour or having jobs shipped overseas.

  • I have stumbled into a nest of retards.

  • I don't have a problem with unions. If people choose to form a union, then I think they should be allowed to. If however you do not want to join a union, then no one should be allowed to force or coerce you into doing so. An employer should also be allowed to hire people who are not in a union. I personally would never join a union, but I don't have the right to tell people they can't either, and vice versa

  • This video is paid propaganda. Unions came to people's homes and asked them to help the union. So what? That's door-to-door organizing!!!

  • God these people trying to unionize are moronatons, unable to think for themselves.

  • @Tonyaxes not really. they feel cheated and would like to bargain for something they feel is fair. thats it. its negotiated. would rather them crack the whip and not have a say. try speaking out when you arent protected. you wont because they dont have to have a reason to fire you. if you're protected by a union you have more control. dont listen to fox news and business people. i love unions and i think for myself everyday! i dont know where you get this idea.

  • Russian communist Vladimir Lenin said, "Unions are the schools of communism."

The very fact that unions have to employ coercion and dishonesty to unionize free people shows how communism destroys both liberty and prosperity little by little.

  • A union is trying to come into my line of work now. All of the young guys are trying to push for it but the older guys, who have 20-30 years experience who have been screwed by the unions dont want it. It all depends on the line of work you do.

  • Why does she sound like a fuckin robot.

  • unions are run by scam artists and scum bags

  • @bryan305 source?

  • Unions=take your money, give to politcal cronies(i.e., Obama, Pelosi. Reid), keep them in power, keep union bosses fatcats, take more of your money.......the cycle goes on.

  • @jedibaseball

Google "union boss pension". See stories regarding Chicago union bosses scamming the system.

Unions had their place with dangerous workplaces, but now they're being run by greedy crooks. This greed is what causes employers to move their operations overseas. They simply cannot afford to pay what the unions THINK they deserve.

  • I hate my union. Bunch of layabout good-for-nothing jackwagons with a sickening sense of entitlement. Fire them all! Fire me, too! Anything to get rid of them! I'll have my job back on my own merits soon enough.

  • @C4War10r -- you don't have enough merits to keep a job if you want a decent wage. thanks for helping the owners of this country screw us all over

  • @C4War10r Good for you! Fierce independence like that built our country. The Union termites are tearing it down from the inside out!

  • When they repeat the talking points in order to avoid answering the question, it is a clear signal that they 1) Don't think you deserve to hear the truth, 2) The truth doesn't serve their best interest, and 3) They think everyone in the room is either dumb enough to drop the subject or lazy enough to give up trying to dig for the truth...

  • If you commenters consider unions as bastions of terrorism and socialism on one end of the political spectrum, then it makes sense that the other side equation equals fascism. Me? I think would rather end up a socialist than a fascist. WWJD? If you read your Bible correctly, many of the actions Christ took were socialistic (social justice, right?).

  • @katsumigumi Jesus didn't force anybody to pay dues and give them to political cronies.

  • @jedibaseball No one forces you to pay union dues. You don't go to jail for not paying union dues. Like federal or state income taxes we owe and we pay our taxes or dues for services rendered. As far as political cronies are concerned, I am part of that 99% of America who does not have enough cash to voice my opinions against something that is a threat to my country like the Tea Party. I'm glad my union can do that.

  • @katsumigumi You can voice your opinion at the ballot box for free. The union doesn't care about you, they just see you as a well for money. I was in a union, and they didn't become concerned until they were about to lose their dues. Unions aren't what they used to be.

  • @katsumigumi When I neared the end of my initial training for AT&T, union representatives brought us into the last segment where they told us we could choose to join or work or not. Sounds fair, right? Good. They told us we would be paying union dues directly out of our paychecks either way, it's hard not to say no. You can work in the union with some benefits which only seem to work if you're friends with the steward or you can be a scab during strikes. The whole deal is lose-lose. Try it.

  • @katsumigumi

Unless the Union is formed in such a way that even those who oppose it are compelled to join it and pay dues to it. This is exactly the situation posed in the video.

  • David Hann clearly is a servant of the State. His job, is to protect the the state. His intimidation is shameful.

  • It is high time Big Labor gets exposed for the thuggery they practice. Ms. Welke said (4 or 5 TIMES!) that unions have the right to organize. SO WHAT? Every one of them is an independent business owner. There is no way in HELL they should be coerced into joining a union. Membership in the National Small Business United would be far more practical.

If unions are so "great", why is it that only about 10% of the entire labor force belongs? Because it's not great. IT STINKS! DUMP UNIONS!

  • From - 7:17 to 11:26 - Someone please HIT HER!! She's STUCK! Like a broken record! She just keeps spouting the same boilerplate answer she was trained to say over... and over... and over... and OVER!!! I've seen Parrots and cockatoos that have more varied vocal responses than her!

  • The union ladies could not even give clear answers. That says a lot.

  • FUCK unions!

  • What a bunch of Big Business funded, Anti-Union Bullshit!

  • Denise Welte's outfit looks like some kind of Nazi government union brown shirt army uniform..... f'g scary.

F'k unions, Nazis, progressive liberals and Dear Leader Chairman Mao-Bama.

  • The unions are some evil "son of a bitches".

  • again you are retarded if you think this is some grass roots effort. This is made by someone trying to discredit legitimate workers rights. There is no such effort to organize in home childcare. It's absurd and that's why the pretend scenario was made up. Do you believe the infomercials on late night tv posing as a talk show?

  • @ednatrumbull Really? No such effort? Then why are representatives of AFSCME and SEIU in this video testifying about, explaining and defending their effort to unionize the childcare providers if there is no such effort? Yes. It is absurd, but it's also very real.

  • @ednatrumbull could you prove that this video is "made up?" It sounds legitimate to me. I don't sense any pretending in this at all.

  • Great video. The Union reps have absolutely no idea how to answer the most basic questions. They keep repeating the same talking points which nobody asked about nor objected to. Pathetic.

  • I hate the Unions and their deceptive tactics, talk about ram rodding their rule over us all,way with unions and collective bargaining their stealing our money and our work for nothing but their pockets.

  • MN Childcare should be shut down with their Unions! The Unions have gone to FAR!!!!!

  • @TheMrjukebox Amen! We need to be protesting against these jerks instead of wasting our time on Wall ST.

  • Unions are nothing but economic terrorists.

Why would anyone who was self employed ever want to join one, or any other person worth his salt.

Unions are another sub-level of government, under another government that is already impositional, but not anywhere near the overbearing, and restrictive idiocy of union membership.

  • @justrob021 Cool story bro, So unions are the ultimate evil huh? 'Economic terrorists'? Big words there. How bout these words? '8 hour work day', 'child labor'? Cause if we have it your corporate funded-bullshit way, it's back to the 19 century. Stop watching fox news bro, your turning into a shill zombie. If anyone out there on youtube likes not having to work 14 hours a day 6 days a week, and sending their young children to factories, Thank a union organizer.

  • @Eidelmania What 8 hr work day? I think you don't understand that what so-called Unions are really for..to scab union dues to fund a political machine and then when you need them......they run out on you.

This country is circling the drain. I say let the Unions get crushed from exsistance.

It would be different if they actually served the people they scab dues from but they no longer due. I say put all union workers out of a job........let them feel the pain.

  • @justrob021 If they're terrorists then they're fighting the bigger terrorists in management. I'll go with the guys that brought us weekends.

  • Respond to this video... If they're terrorists than they're fighting the bigger terrorists in management. I'll go with the guys that brought us weekends.

  • @justrob021 Economic terrorism!! Work for an unrepresented workforce in industry, I'll show you economic terrorism. The only reason industry is halfway fair to people is because they fear that the people will go union if they go to far. Unions are the only reason that working class Americans still have good paying jobs. In fact most companies use wadge scale comparison to determine employee wadges. They do this to keep employees happy. The top wadges on those scales are always union.

  • workers rights? for once i fell sorry for the employers who have to deal with you entitled little pigs

  • How you supposed to drown or diddle kids with the Union Thugs knocking at the door!?Fuck you who ever is promoting this video. Viewers are fucking idiots if they think this was paid for by moms supplementing their income. It's done by some unamerican teabagging asshole who is full of shit and trying to eliminate workers rights with this ridiculous example.

  • Comment removed

  • @ednatrumbull

If anybody was up in the air about whether or not the unions are filled with low-brow scumbags and thugs, your comment removed all doubt.

  • MN has the highest child care costs already at $9000. This will only increase costs to young families.

I challenge Gov Dayton to show where he has authority do do this in our Constitution or Statutes.

  • Unions and Freemasons have become the brownshirts of the world Elite. It may not have always been this way, but it's been going this way for a very long time. It's time to start connecting the dots people. Remember the Communist credo "Workers of the world unite". If you don't unite voluntarily, they will pull you into the collective, charge you dues and use your money to further their own agenda.

  • I'm not worried about unions...I'm worried about the 1%

  • unions do a lot of nasty propaganda stuff...but if we had no unions most of the blue collar would work for min wage, at a job that could get them killed. Even the NFL has a union. Are unions guilty of playing dirty, yes! Do they protect employees, Yes! go ahead and crush unions. Ask Florida and Airizona how they feel about that. No pension = no snow birds. Go ahead and crush a Police Officer Union! See what happens

  • @TheBrevo That just doesn't make sense. I have never had a minimum wage job even when I was in highschool. The jobs I have had outside of the union have paid vastly better than the jobs in a union. In fact my old union job had to raise people in my positions' wage when Obama increased minimum wage because the union was paying worse than what the new minimum wage was. Now the union wage is minimum wage but you have to pay dues so you actually make less than minimum wage.

  • @Brett9897

I think you lie. What Union, What State, What job? I bet you don't answer.

  • @TheZombieButler Missouri Local 655. In 2007, the last time I worked there, the entry level wage as a Courtesy Clerk was $6.55 it had been that way since the new collective bargaining agreement was struck in 2002. In 2009 they had to raise the entry level wage to $7.25 because that was the new minimum wage. With union dues entry level hourly wages are below minimum wage. Plus they aren't giving courtesy clerks enough hours to even get benefits. See I don't lie.

  • @Brett9897 Sorry man I really shouldn't have left such a comment unless I was going to stick around for the thread-bad manners.

South Carolina is a right to work state, you didn't have to join that union and dues cannot be taken out of your pay with out the written agreement. It's a shame they couldn't bargin for better bennies usually that's where unions shine. Perhaps if a group of you went to your boss to see if you could get some health care. . .

  • unions deal in greed and that is all they deal in!

  • @DaveSquibbSr

I would admit that some unions are beneficial in the way of helping to train their skilled workforce. Unfortunately, the crooks at the top are more concerned about milking the system for everything it's got. The unions could be good if they weren't trying to be so greedy that employers couldn't afford to work with them.

  • blah blah blah blah blah blah....wage slaves

  • Unions of late are nothing but a shake down and seek to tax those members involved with them in order wield influence for the benefit of the union - not the members.

As a skilled engineer myself, I don't need a representative to be employed or get employment - and neither does any other skilled person wishing to hold a job in America. All we need is a market that will simply let us be our best and we'll provide goods and services. Not a pimp with our best interests at heart - for a fee.

  • @2GetThere you will "provide goods/ services." Sad---- it's not occurred to u that ppl can create, innovate, produce from creativity of their own minds. It's your new "service economy," providing goods and services" for "ready market" (users). The goal is to be a good servant in "consumer" economy. Has it occurred to you (you skilled person!) that being a "provider" (to consumer), is a very narrow position? Could you include a Creative Class in your cosmos, who can think/ create.

  • @westchesterny You can be a servant if you like. Otherwise nothing you said made any sense whatsoever...

  • these organizers and unions were out of line for sure... they should not be allowed to use these tactics..

  • Unions have too much power, (power granted to them by laws that strip the rights of businesses). I have no objection to anyone joining or forming a union, but I also say that businesses shoulld have equal rights to say, "Sorry union, we do not want your services, we will be hiring and ontracting with another entetity. Good day to you."

  • These fucking parasite leeches have got to be taken OUT!

  • Unions SUCK

  • They are independent contractors - they can form some sort of trade group, but they can't force membership on other independent contractors.

  • The fact that there are so many unanswered questions should send up flairs. Something stinks here and the unions are not to be trusted. This is about unions getting their greedy hands in the pockets of home daycare providers.

  • This shows the need for a National Right to Work law so free men remain free! No person should be forced to pay big business so they can work.

  • The intent is produce more DimLib voters. Period.
